4.0 out of 5 stars New Wave Violence, 6 Sept. 2001
This review is from: We Are Electrocution (Audio CD)
Dirty garage punk rock that sounds like the International Noise Conspiracy on crack. Part of the line up includes the keyboard player from The Locust. Very loud and angry rock n roll singing. Overall, a fascinating sound but this CD is a little short in length. Also the cover art is fantastic, depicting a plug socket over a woman's genitalia. Le Shok is the musical middle finger to 1990's pop punk.

4.0 out of 5 stars Well presented trashy music. Fantastic., 1 Mar. 2001
This review is from: In Name And Blood (Audio CD)
The newest full length from dirty rock n roll punks Murder City Devils. You know this is going to be good when you pop this in your computer and all this Murder City stuff comes all over the screen including photographic evidence of the murder of each band member! Musicaly, this is not as good as their other two releases but still amazingly original and far better then most crap on the market. Get this once you are already know the band's sound. Beginers should buy one of the first two albums before this to get aquented.

4.0 out of 5 stars "Situationist" pre-punk that is a must have, 6 Feb. 2001
This review is from: Survival sickness (Audio CD)
From the ashes of hardcore band "Refused" comes this Situationist rock album that really is fantastic. The 60's sound perhaps captures the time of the Situationist peek of activaty. Note also the liner notes which almost make this worth getting for alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Reagan Youth are a great band., 27 Jan. 2001
This review is from: A Collection of Pop CD (Audio CD)
Don't be put off by the KKK members on the cover. The singer was jewish (I think) and they were not racist. Reagan Youth are perhaps the most mis-understood punk band ever. A great New York hardcore sound that you simply must check out. The singer killed himself and the band broke up in the late 1980's.

4.0 out of 5 stars neat little book, 7 Jan. 2001
This book basic goes through the "rules" of a slasher film in more depth as promted by the film Scream. It also has a good guide and short review to a number of key and obscure titles. This is neat little book that would be usefull to take to a video rental as an aid to decide what slasher film to rent. That's basically all it is but usefull none the less.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classic, 8 Dec. 2000

Anti-Flags first album is somewhat essential really in any self-respecting punk's CD collection. New school punk with old school atitude and sound.

4.0 out of 5 stars Pretty classic, 6 Dec. 2000
This review is from: The Murder City Devils (Audio CD)
Dirty rock n' roll punk with a stunning display of originality. The Murder City Devils really are amazing and very atmospheric. My only problem with this, their first release is that it is a little short. You are left craving for more.

3.0 out of 5 stars good skacore but weak in some areas, 3 Dec. 2000
Defiantly the best album form the band and they do rock but the song writing is a little weak and after a while it gets boring. My personal favorite track was 'Hey' which features on a skating video. You may also recognize the first song from Tony Hawk skateboarding for the Play Station. The Suicide Machines are recommended for 'Less Than Jake' fans too. But I'm more into these band's influences, namely Operation Ivy. In fact, many songs on this album owe allot to Op Ivy.

Although this is not the Dead Kennedys best album, it still have some great tracks such as the last three in particular.
