4.0 out of 5 stars Purity of Essence, 13 Jan. 2007
As with his previous book Richard Rhodes excels in taking us right to the heart of the story, with an abundance of interwoven characters. I admit that in parts I found it evocative of Dr Strangelove! However, for me I found the science aspect somewhat limited, with large jumps between developments and other parts extremely vague. I'm sure this is in part due to a large amount of the relevant documentation being classified.

3.0 out of 5 stars She's back, 10 Jun. 2006
Yes, the grpaphics are superb and the control system is much improved frm Angel of Darkness yet this in my opinion has totally failed to bring anything new to tombraider fans. The plot is pretty thin with most of the puzzles solved by use of a tiresome grappling hook. One of the main elements of the old games was the exploration involved; his game has none and feels completely linear. Remember the good old days where you just knew you weren't going to see your friends for weeks, well with this one you can complete it before your ready meal is done.

This game starts well and is best played as Aline, the female character since she has more to do, dicover and explore. It's very pretty but the speech is very slow. The later levels are much less original almost as if the makers lost interest. This won't take long to finish.
