1634: The Baltic War (Ring of Fire Series)
Price: £4.49

3.0 out of 5 stars Less explanation can be better, 23 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was all right and readable up to a point but the amount of technical stuff and explanations tended to be obsessive. The breadth of characters and locations was slightly confusing as well. I do not expect to return to this world as having looked at further samples it becomes even more confusing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wonder what happens next?, 11 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
It is good enough to want you to know what happens next. It tends to wander about a bit but it does maintain interest. How is this going to change what happens?

4.0 out of 5 stars Romcom for young men and older chaps who will remain anonymous., 6 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Shouldn't really like this as it is ROMCOM for boys, but I found it funny and thought provoking. It could also be a how to book for young men unaware of "what women want".

3.0 out of 5 stars Time paradoxes don't work like this., 10 April 2016

Oh Dear oh dear. This does not make sense at all. Yes I know it's time travel fiction. When something changes in the past then it becomes changed now. And you will remember it as the changed thing not as it was before. And it's no use putting in a disclaimer half way through the book stating that although an original may change the rules state that anything copied from it remain as before. No no no you can't have that. Think a bit more.

3.0 out of 5 stars keep them sims happy, 4 April 2016

It does what he says on the tin. Sims living life. They are like pets. Just feed them exercise them and let them chase sticks and they will live short but happy lives. Once you start playing it can lure you into trying to make their lives just a little bit better.

Still Out of Time - Six More Tales of Time Travel
Price: £0.99

3.0 out of 5 stars After a while you don't care., 29 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Found this frustratingly vague and difficult to follow. The stories were less than riveting. Stayed with it to the end to see if it got any better. Underwhelmed by the whole thing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Marines rock the universe., 22 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This was a plot that could have been based in this time sphere. No need to travel across the Galaxy in time and space to tell a tale of counter insurgency by the invincible grunts of the marine corps. It was okay with a very followable plot which rattled along. Little bit of lesbian domination spanking and other little bdsm moments were slightly out of kilter with the main theme. Readable without a wow factor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Status Quo be afraid. Be very afraid., 4 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Vaz (Kindle Edition)
I loved this. The simplicity of it did not trivialise the premise of the story. It is anti-establishment without preaching. Government Agencies, big business and organised crime are all challenged and beaten. Actually crushingly humiliated is a better description. This is revenge of the nerd done in passing. Vaz is awesome without hardly trying. "why are you just sitting there doing nothing?" "Go away". "But you're slacking" I am not doing nothing I am THINKING. Please go away as you have interrupted my train of thought leading to a great leap in scientific research". Almost invincible in physical combat and genius savant he just kicks ass with believable ease. This was wonderful sci-fi.

3.0 out of 5 stars How many of you exist., 21 Jan. 2016

Thought provoking and clever if slightly confusing. It was interesting enough to keep you reading to the end and I may revisist just to clear things up in my own mind.
