5.0 out of 5 stars The best startup financing book you'll read (promise), 11 Aug. 2015
This is the best book I have ever read on raising early stage financing and more for your startup. Seriously.

Want to know how it works? How to pitch VCs? What it takes? How long it takes? Why investors 'just aren't that into you?' this book has it all.

Unlike other books on raising early stage financing for your startup, Carlos goes into great detail from a wealth of experience of investing into startups at Seedcamp and Doughty Hanson the past 15 years, to make it clear how 'the game' is played.

It's an easy read, with technical terms and the mystique of 'venture speak' spoken in plain english. It's also quick to get through and you'll come out the other side a wiser, bolder startup ninja. Hayaa!

If you want to understand the fund raising process from someone who knows, with contributions from the biggest VCs in the US and Europe, this book is simply a must read.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great guide and a must read, 15 Jan. 2014

I was a first time CEO these last 2 years. If I had read this sooner, I would have avoided a lot of simple mistakes, motivated and managed my team better and ultimately have green faster. This is really a management book. It won't help with marketing and doesn't have any ticks to help you grow.

However, it will to you how to manage your costs, your people, culture and systems. And without those, you won't have any growth.

Good luck

5.0 out of 5 stars A good read, 24 Dec. 2013

I enjoyed reading this more than One Click as the business history or Amazon.

It's easy to ready, with a smooth narrative style. Whether or not all of the facts are accurate (as contested by Mrs Bezos), it provides a fascinating insight into Amazon's corporate history, management style and the personalities who built and managed one of the most fascinating online business yet to be created.

Amazon's innovation and corporate development is set in the rich context of the time, the 'go go' 1990s, the dot com crash, then the opportunity of the 2000s and the hyper digital growth since 2010.

Whether you're interested in reading this from the perspective of;

- management
- Internet history
- business profiles
- personal profiles
- tech investing
- entrepreneurship
- startups
- competition

You,ll find at you're looking for!

Enjoy!
