Allegiant (Divergent, Book 3) (Divergent Trilogy)

Like a lot of book series, Allegiant was a decent but rather disappointing finale to an otherwise great series.

We saw it in Mockingjay (Hunger Games), we saw it in Shadow Wave (Cherub), where the writer knows how they want the series to end, however, they can't bring us there as well as they have done previously.

Rough Plot: After a cliff hanger ending to Insurgent the book focuses on the remaining characters (most of them) travelling away from Chicago in search of answers.

Warning: There are a few main characters who die, so beware of could be your favourite, one of them was mine.

Catching Fire is a great and gripping book pretty much from start to finish. Although a little slow at first a bit slow I think that once it was moving it was a great book. I had expected the actual games to start a little earlier in the book by the build up was still fantastic. You heard about the uprising, previous games and even though there was not that much action it still kept me reading. Once you were in the games they did not stop. The action and thoughts of Katniss were great to read and as always were very in depth. You knew more tributes this time around and overall learn a lot more about them. You can now have mire characters to interact with rather than just Katniss and Peeta and I find this much more fulfilling than the first book. My personal favourite character is Beetee. Anyway I hope you found this helpful and go and read Catching Fire immediately.

This like the first book was a thrilling and suspense filled joyride.

Like the first book it was a little slow to start off but eventually we had action paradise as Tris, Tobias, Tori, Christina, Uriah, Lynn, Marlene and Marcus begin the rebellion against the Erudite, led by the power hungry Jeanine Matthews.

Like the first book, you can never tell what characters are safe from death. Betrayals from those you would least expect shock you but only draw your eyes closer to the book.

Warning: If you only have favourite characters who live you may be in quite a lot of trouble. Also you might like to read the book twice because the amount recurring characters is uncountable but great.

Overall great book 5*

CHERUB: Shadow Wave: Book 12 (CHERUB Series)
CHERUB: Shadow Wave: Book 12 (CHERUB Series)
Price: £4.99

4.0 out of 5 stars Shadow Wave, 1 Sept. 2013
Shadow Wave was a good but not great end to the epic series of Cherub. This book was different, there was no mission that James was involved in. I dislike the flash back that seemed to cover from around 10% through the book to 60% through the book because of its length not quality.

I think the reason Robert Muchamore chose to write it this way was to show that James will sometimes decline missions, even if they are his last, just to help others, if you get what I mean.

I think I would have enjoyed it more if the book was much longer and went into great detail of how characters lived the rest of their lives.

All in all this was a good ending but lacked the greatness of Class A or Mad Dogs.

This was definitely one of the best of the series. It was better than The General in my opinion which was still a great book. I like the difference between the others in which you go back in time to see a different angle to the start of James and Laurens cherub careers by meeting Dante a boy who was brought to cherub in an orange shirt on the same day as Lauren but never seen because of a three year mission. However before this you find out about his life before cherub and how his family was destroyed. Now Dante, Lauren and James go on a mission to bring down the man who killed Dante's family and Dante will do anything for revenge against the Fuhrer and Brigands M.C!

The General once again fulfilled everything you need from a Cherub book. Action on a ridiculous scale, slight comedy and in this case some tragedy for James and Gabrielle however; I don't want to give any spoilers. I like the difference between the missions from the previous missions because they are not trying to bring down a criminal gang but help American soldiers. We also learn to like Kazakov for a funny and daring man who forms a friendship with James.

This is all round great book from start to finish and one that I heavily recommend and that is why I give it a 5* rating
