1.0 out of 5 stars Not a MGS game, 26 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Not a Metal gear solid game - but it tricked me into thinking it was one. Boring game with lots of "boss fights" like platform games. My son doesn't even like playing it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best fun in years with this game, 26 July 2014
This is by far the best war game I have ever played. If you love FPS war games try this one on the hard level. It gets very realistic and very hard to play. Its an early version of an open world game, and very ambitious. I dont understand why this little gem of a war game did not get as good reviews as CoD, Battlefield and the other games. Try it out now - the "price to fun"-ratio is extremely high. The only issue I have with games like this is the AI of your team members. But you forget it as you play along.

A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather Than Nothing
A Universe from Nothing: Why There Is Something Rather Than Nothing
by Lawrence M. Krauss
Edition: Audio CD
Price: £27.90

5.0 out of 5 stars A great book from mr Krauss, 26 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Mr Krauss does his best to show you that physics can explain our universe from a theory about what "nothingness" is really like. It builds a strong case for not just attributing the birth of our universe to supernatural beings and/or gods. Though not yet fully understood in detail, current theoretical physics keeps progressing and promises new and deeper insights into how it all started and how the laws of the universe govern our world. I can recommend this book to readers that like popular science books, and like not to get involved in the math and formulas that sadly prohibits easy access to the subject from other textbooks. Mr Dawkins epiloque is also worth reading - twice.

PS: I can recommend John C Taylors book "Hidden unity in natures laws" to those who would like to get a little more technical introduction to theoretical physics. I would love to read a book like that from mr Krauss. I think that the publishers wish to hide math and formulas from popular science books is a big misunderstanding. Most readers of popular science books are able to cope with high school math and are willing to try to understand even more involved stuff.

Math Girls 2: Fermat's Last Theorem: Volume 2
Math Girls 2: Fermat's Last Theorem: Volume 2
by Hiroshi Yuki
Edition: Paperback
Price: £12.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Another great story of math and numbers from Yuki, 26 July 2014
This book is another must read for everyone with an "amateur interest" in math. It teaches you some very advanced subjects in a skilled and pedagogical way. The theorems are chosen carefully to show the intricate connections between different branches of math and the explanations offered through the dialogues are again superb. I especially love when the children (you) are challenged to explain a theorem, in which words appear that they haven't learned about yet. That shows the strength of pure logical reasoning in a very obvious way - yet I imagine a lot of readers themselves give up too fast, when confronted with such problems in real life studies or even work. Mr Yuki has done it again, and I look forward to the next translated book. (If you could change the title to the "Math Club" or something I even think my son would read it :-)

Spec Ops: The Line - Including Fubar pack (PS3)
Spec Ops: The Line - Including Fubar pack (PS3)

3.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun, but, 3 Oct. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The gameplay is not as good as other games in the genre. The story is interesting and not just "a bad copy", the action is great and some of the cut scenes do a great job supporting the story with spectacular events. But your character can not jump even the smallest gaps, sometimes you cant shoot what you can see behind cover in your weapon sights and some of the cover scenes actually disrupt the gameplay flow. If you can live with that the game is worth its current £10-15.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love it, 19 Mar. 2013

Excellent introduction to quantum computation. I am an economist and has no background in the field of physics, but with high school math you are able to follow the presentation and even work out some of the problems. Great buy!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive, 28 Dec. 2012

This review is from: Max Payne 3 (PS3) (Video Game)
After playing the game for a few hours you cant let go. This is a fantastic story and Max Payne is back in the gaming business. Buy it and experience intense fighting and drama in a cocktail not seen since Uncharted: Drakes Fortune hit the market. Max Payne is a darker story and the audience should be a bit older though. Have fun!

4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent fun, 28 Dec. 2012

The game is very innovative with respect to future soldier equipment. Only a few mistakes like camera drones that films themselves and invisibility suits that makes enemy weapons invisible when holding them make me want to change the game. Funny shooter, ok story and action packed sequences make this game one of my top games in the category.
