Avengers by Jonathan Hickman Volume 1 (New Avengers)
Avengers by Jonathan Hickman Volume 1 (New Avengers)
by Jonathan Hickman
Edition: Hardcover
Price: £25.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Contents, 13 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This first collected volume of Hickman's Avengers actually contains Avengers #1-13, not #1-11 as listed in the description. This covers the first two arcs; Avengers World #1-6, The Last White Event #7-11, and the first two issues from the Infinity Prelude trade #12 & 13. I assume this is to match the fact that the Infinity Hardcover contains Avengers #14-23. So my advice would be to skip the second hardcover of this collection (which also contains Avengers #14-23) and buy the Infinity Hardcover instead.

Since there is so much confusion over the issues contained I have uploaded a photo showing the contents from the back cover.

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes it's Quiet, 19 Dec. 2015

Brought to replace a stock Intel cooler on a LGA775 motherboard - this was very easy to fit. I've had nightmares fitting some third-party heat sinks but this one is a doddle. As another reviewer points out the heat pipes protrude slightly on one edge so plan which way round to seat it in advance. Now it's in place it's very quiet and without the annoying whine that the stock cooler made.

5.0 out of 5 stars Works to 'oil' locks., 19 Dec. 2015

I was sceptical this was going to work, but.... The Yale-style lock on my front door was very stiff and it took a lot of effort and key 'jiggling' to get the key in the lock. Two puffs of this has worked wonders; the key now slides in like a hot knife through butter. I am very impressed.

Brought from Technostore UK. I received a CD and licence key on separate pamphlet - loaded first time and I was able to activate automatically over the Internet. I then upgraded to Windows 10. Note you must force the activation before upgrading or the process stops.

5.0 out of 5 stars Looks good on the Apple Watch Sport 38mm, 1 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I brought the cheapest Apple Watch; the 38mm Sport (expecting an upgrade in a year or two!) and this stainless steel replacement strap fits the watch perfectly and looks substantially smarter on the wrist. It comes with four removable links and a 'link removal tool' to adjust the size. I am slim for a bloke and I needed to remove all four links to make it fit my wrist - it is still a bit large for my [petite] girlfriend. Good value for money compared to the Apple prices and looks good.

5.0 out of 5 stars TP Link TL-PA251KIT, 22 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I brought Two packs of the TP Link TL-PA251KIT AV200+ Multi-Streaming Powerline Starter Kit with AC Pass Through (UK Plug Only), each pack containing two powerline adapters with a pass through so that the use of the power socket is not lost. These worked first time and what is more the adapters from the two different packs worked with each other without any complicated synchronisation, YMMV.
These allow me to have BBC iPlayer working on my smart TV in the lounge and music streamed to both the extension and the bedroom, with a rock solid wired connection, happy days.

Verbatim 47659 USB 3.0 External 3.5 Inch 2TB HDD
Verbatim 47659 USB 3.0 External 3.5 Inch 2TB HDD

5.0 out of 5 stars Solid Performer, 4 Dec. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I had a variety of USB 2.0 drives and was keen to consolidate to a single large USB 3.0 drive. Verbatim seemed to be offering the best price for 2TB USB 3.0 when I purchased this. I have now had the drive for several months and it is reliable and quick, much, much quicker than USB 2.0. When turned on the drive makes a modem like screech, but when running you can hear the disk spinning, but there doesn't appear to be any external fan so the drive is very quiet in operation. The box holding the drive is a very solid metal construction with plastic at the front (complete with activity LED), it feels well made and more substantial than the WD cases.

Verbatim offer the drive with a USB 3.0 add in card and a version without. The USB 3.0 add in card is a PCI Express (the smaller form factor) card which needs a spare molex power socket to be plugged into it. Installation was slightly complex as there was no supplied driver CD, the drivers were on the Verbatim drive. Therefore plug the drive into a USB 2.0 slot, install the drivers, turn off and then install the card and hey presto Windows XP plugs and plays nicely.

The only downer is the tiny length of the supplied USB 3.0 cable, I would highly recommend buying the 2M cable from Amazon: 2M USB 3.0 Extension Cable, Blue.

KeySonic 616RF Wireless Keyboard Laser Trackball UK Layout

4.0 out of 5 stars Keysonic 616RF wireless keyboard and trackball mouse, 23 Sept. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In summary this is an excellent wireless keyboard and trackball.
.
I brought this to use with a PC in the living room that I have hooked up to the TV. This keyboard allows me to operate the PC from the sofa with no trailing wires. It is light and easy to use; you do however need two hands to operate it as the trackball is on the opposite corner from the two mouse buttons. The trackball is not as fast to use as a standard mouse but is very intuitive and my (non-techie) girlfriend was using it in no time. I did however have to turn the trackball sensitivity down as initially the pointer was flying over the screen far too quickly to control.
.
The keyboard comes with a small USB stick (about half the size of most USB storage sticks) that you plug into one of computers free USB slots and it then just works. For me, this keyboard worked straight out of the box without drivers or any tweaks in Ubuntu 10.04 and Windows XP Professional. I was amazed that even some of the hotkeys worked in Ubuntu. The USB slot I am using is at the rear of the computer and I sit about 2.5 metres away on the sofa using the keyboard - I have not had any issues with lag or with dropped connections.
.
The reason I have given this keyboard only 4 stars rather than 5 is that to make it perfect it really needs a mouse scroll wheel as well. You don't realise how much you miss it until it isn't there! When surfing to scroll down the page you have to click the page and then move your hand to the cursor keys to scroll up and down. The cursor keys are quite small on this keyboard and are difficult to find without looking. The alternative to the navigate to the scrollbar on the browser and click and drag, both of which seem clumsy compared to a scroll wheel.
.
Overall this was a great buy for casual living room use.
