1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid These earphones, 6 Feb. 2013

These earphones do not fit in my ears at all. I was expecting the material of the earphone itself to be pliable and that I would be able to squeeze them to fit, you cant.
The cord is not long enough. If your are six foot tall or over and keep your iPod device in your pocket rather than on your arm the cord will nearly be at max stretch, you have little leeway.
The sound seems okay, but I will never know fully because they don't fit. Stay away from these even if they are cheap, waste of time.

5.0 out of 5 stars TRIGGER INSIDE, 26 Jan. 2007
This review is from: Troublegum (Audio CD)
If you are looking for an instantly likeable easy to get into record that rocks like a bastard then this is the record for you. The tracks on this record have not aged. Therapy released this at the height of their career when they could do no wrong, it is a classic and their best record by far. All the tracks are standout, Trigger inside, Screamager, Die laughing and Stop it your killing me are just superb, the rest are pretty damn good too. This record is perfect for the gym, download it onto your i pod and you see if you dont get a personal best. Stunning rock music how it should be played

4.0 out of 5 stars Siberian Platinum, 7 Jan. 2007

This is not your typical travel book. The focus of it's pages mainly concern the effects the mining for precious metals has on the city of Norilsk the surrounding area and it's people. The theme running through the book is that of the day to day running of Norilsk Nickel and of the emergence of Russia from it's cold war years, through the turbulent early nineties and now into 2006 and beyond. The author does a grand job of describing the bleakness of the Siberian tundra and that of the environmental effects the mining has had on the area. The book is fast paced and is never dull and you will learn an awful lot about Norilsk and the local area. There is also a mini encyclopedia at the back of the book about the different metals mined from this area, which maybe useful reference for some.

5.0 out of 5 stars Oh yes ODEN is on our side, 25 Oct. 2006

Got into Amon Amarth after listening to 'Fate of Norns',and what a solid piece of work that is. Along now comes 'With Oden On Our Side' and I can say thank our lucky stars that he is beside us. It took me three listens and then the penny dropped, what a absolute stunning record this is. Quite literally the best metal album of any genre for a longtime. Kicking off with 'valhall Awaits Me' you can almost smell the bloodshed and be glad you are not there. 'Runes To My Memory' has a kind of 'Fate Of Norns' feel a good quality track, 'Hermods Ride To Hel' is stunning. Track 6 'With Oden On Our Side' is arguably the best tune on the record it is an absolute powerblast of heaviness. The chorus is foot stomping stuff which does not go on long enough, but who cares when you got tunes like 'Under The Northern Star' a melancholic master. Every song on this release is an anthem. I dont know how they combine sheer terror heaviness with melody that makes this record especially, and Amon Amarth so listenable and appealing. They are a great band who play intelligent Death metal, they love what they do and you can hear it in their songs, after listening to this nothing is unachievable

5.0 out of 5 stars Giant Steps indeed, 14 Oct. 2006
This book easily falls into my top 5 best books. I could not put it down but felt I must, just to prolong the enjoyable experience of reading it everyday. This ia a real adventure story on par with Papillon. The book is truly enspiring, a must, especially if your off on your holidays and want any easily accessible book. A brilliant book by a now iconic figure.

5.0 out of 5 stars The End Of Silence is golden, 14 Oct. 2006
This review is from: End Of Silence (Audio CD)
Is this the best Rollins Band record. Perhaps, perhaps not. Is it ear shatteringly, do I dare say groundbreaking stuff, and that there is nothing else to comapre it with out there, which even comes close, then yes it certainly is. 'Tearing' and 'You didn't need' are probably the finest songs about love falling apart you will hear. ' Just like you' is an ear splitting finale. In all if you only ever own one Rollins Band album (shame on you) then make this the one.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hide your battleaxe, 14 Oct. 2006

I am not much of a death metal fan, but I like this, i like this a lot. I got into this band after watching 'fate of norns' on DVD and decided to buy the album and give it a go. It did not disappoint. If you are looking to try some death metal then start here. This record is very listenable and installs in you a sense of chest beating pride. Just hide all your weapons in your house from yourself in case you go out and use them on the local chavs. Happy hunting.

I bought this album after listening to Axis of Evil which was on a compilation CD attached to a well known metal mag, and Im glad I did. Despite them having been around for a few years this to me has been a breath of fresh air for myself. It would be enough to get this album for Axis of Evil and Laydown the Law alone, superb tracks, great band.
