5.0 out of 5 stars it taught me about love, happiness and everything in between", 10 Feb. 2016
I bought this t-shirt as a gift to a dear old friend of mine. Having seen the t-shirt on Amazon I already had high expectations, I mean there is a cat on it for starters and the cat is trying to catch a mouse... inspirational. Of course, this is a take on the iconic 'Nevermind' Nirvana album cover (for all you youngsters out there who have no idea who Nirvana are, look them up they'll change your life) but it's not just a pun t-shirt, it's so much more than that. It's a game changer. It's the kind of t-shirt that you will look back on in 20 years time and think "Wow, that t-shirt was symbolic of life itself, it taught me about love, happiness and everything in between". I have never seen my dear friend so happy with a gift she had received before, as tears rolled down her cheeks she looked up to me and said "This T-shirt is the best gift I have ever received, I cannot thank you enough, in fact I could never repay you for this incredibly awesome gesture. Thank you, thank you". She cried some more and dropped to the ground, overwhelmed by the sheer weight of its' greatness. I can never thank The Mountain enough for designing such an awe-inspiring t-shirt and selling it on Amazon. Thank you The Mountain and thank you Amazon. This product is living proof that dreams do come true.

5.0 out of 5 stars CAUTION...DO NOT LISTEN TO OTHER REVIEWERS, 21 Mar. 2004
This review is from: Auf Der Maur (Audio CD)
I recently went to a "gig" near my hometown to see a band called a perfect circle. My friend and i weren't really fans but we thought it would be a bit of a laugh. After practically getting strip-searched to get into the venue (apparantly as a music lover i should be carrying around knives and large spikey chains) i bought a beer and waited for the music to begin. Suddenly there was the sound of a german-like chant in the background that said "auf der maur..." and a band entered the stage. It was from that instance that Melissa Auf der Maur's prescence could be felt. As a fan of Hole and Smashing Pumpkins i instantly recognised the ginger-haired lady standing on the stage, armed with a bass guitar and an amazing voice. As soon as the music began it pounded my skull and made my body shake. I was surprised at how amazing this woman really was. Could she really be kicking Courtney's Sunset strip ass and stealing the Queen of rock crown right from her bleached head? So, on the day of release i rushed out to buy the album. And indeed i was certainly not disappointed. The obvious hits "followed the waves" and "My foggy notion" are pretty heavy, though she feels no need to scream like most of the wannabe Queens around. "Overpower thee" is an amazingly creepy, near-ballad song stripped down to her beautiful child-like vocals and haunting piano. "I'll be anything you want" is an upbeat track with a disco rock feel. As a result of this album, i have now been to see her 3 times and have not yet got bored of it. Courtney Love better watch her back!

3.0 out of 5 stars AS students.., 21 Mar. 2004
I bought this book as i am currently studying the general prologue for my exams this summer. I found that the book was not the easiest book to use, however it does give you a lot of information at the back on what certain things translate as or meanings of phrases. There are a few problems with these because some are exaggerated or not entirely correct so you will probably need to buy another help guide. It does give you quite a good introduction to the prologue and it is good value for money, so i would say generally it is a good buy. I haven't however looked around so there may be something a little better on the market.

5.0 out of 5 stars Absoloute classic Foo's, 21 Mar. 2004
If you have gone out and purchased the latest Foo fighters album 'One by one', or your just a fan of rock music wishing to broaden your horizons, and have not yet heard the Foo fighters earlier material then be sure to add 'The color and shape' to your collection. In fact, you could call it illegal to not own this album! It is by far the greatest Foo Fighters album, with the classic punk anthems 'monkey wrench' and 'wind up', and the anthemic 'My hero', the beautiful 'walking after you' will bring a tear to your eye! Who could forget the greatest ever Foo fighters song (and quite possibly the greatest, period) 'everlong', with a great video to match! Needless to say, if your a Foo fighters fan or a fan of rock, you MUST own this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Critics can eat their own words...., 19 Feb. 2004
This review is from: America's Sweetheart (Audio CD)
yes thats right, "professional" critics can eat their own words because however much they try to silence this star she will not be silenced! America's sweetheart can only be described as a drug infested, Hollywood 'f*** you!' record of the year and it's been barely two months already! With the first single to be lifted from the album 'mono' as the first track you can see that straight from the beginning this is not going to be a quiet return from the former queen of grunge. With lists of collaborations like Linda Perry and Broady Dalle of 'the Distillers' this is the second attempt of the mainstreem market. Songs that particularly stand out on the album are "never gonnna be the same", one of the softer tracks on the album and also "I'll do anything" which is a more noisier affiar. Needless to say Courtney is back and she's still got it baby!
