5.0 out of 5 stars Worth Every Hard-Earned Penny, 4 Feb. 2005
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
In my opinion, this DVD set would be worth buying, if only for Doo Doo Doo Doo (Heartbreaker) and especially Stray Cat Blues at the PAris Olympia - Darryl Jones' Bass solo on the latter is absolutely fantastic, and the crowd loves it! Dance (Pt.1) is also great on this disc. As for the rest, there's some great Guitar Weaving between Keith and Ronnie, and Mick's vocals are great. Highlights for me would be (although the whole 4 disc set is fantastic): Madison Square Garden:Can't You Hear Me Knocking, Monkey Man and Midnight Rambler(great harmonica). Twickenham - Sympathy for the Devil, Gimme Shelter (sends shivers down my spine every time I hear it - beautiful), Street Fighting Man - well actually the whole disc is great. And as for the Olympia show - well, suffice to say that there are a lot of old classics rarely played on here - but Stray Cat Blues gives perhaps the most possible enjoyment you can get from music.
In other words, click "BUY" now - it's not a purchse you will regret.
PS - the DVD extras are pretty cool too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hasn't left my CD player!, 6 Jan. 2005
A fantastic concert of the blues by John Mayall and the Bluesbreakers, with some top-notch help from his friends, namely Eric Clapton (on top form, as per usual), Mick Taylor (still playing like there's no tomorrow) and Chris Barber on the Trombone. There isn't a weak track on here, and something for everyone, whether they are a blues aficionado or newcomer.
If in any doubt, buy it, it will not be a decision you'll regret. Feeling a little down? lie back in a comfortable sofa, pour yourself a large glass of wine and enjoy at full volume. Since I bought this a week ago it has hardly left my Stereo, and only then to go into my car!
I give it 7 stars...!
