5.0 out of 5 stars One of the finest cameras available, 22 April 2012
As a professional photographer I have used most equipment from Leica to Nikon. I currently use a Leica M9 costing £9000 - camera and body. This camera blows it away. It's not just the exceptional sharpness of the sensor, it's mostly the "look" of the photo. The colours are rich and accurate. White balance and exposure - perfect. The camera can be fiddly to use but the results are unique,. I have NEVER used anything that can produce perfect results like this straight out of JPEG, time after time, without having to change a thing in processing.

3.0 out of 5 stars Lovely sleek city phone, 5 May 2009
Stylish and superbly functional. A perfect phone for the city gent or lady, but not strong enough for tough everyday use. The back falls off regularly and the plastic case is about a micron thick. Yoghurt pots are made of sterner stuff - I am really not kidding!. The battery last about a day and takes a year (or so it seems) to recharge on the standard charger. There are no goodies such as headsets or vehicle adapters.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Product, 5 May 2009
This review is from: Pantone Huey (Electronics)
Great Product. I have installed it on all of our machines - laptops, PC's with TFT's and CRT. The results are perfect every time....If 1/ you turn off the ambient light compensation 2/ calibrate only in subdued or no light 3/ use in subdued or no light. If you calibrate or use near fluorescent lighting - forget it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Renew your faith in film, 27 Aug. 2008
Compared to the very best flatbed scanner this is a quantum leap. It produces results that are making me loose faith in digital cameras. I have dug out my old leica and have gone back to B&W. What an awesome bit of equipment. Be aware that this is the budget version of the 5000 series which have multi pass scanning for even better quality. This does not have it, but it is good enough for me. Fabulous!!

Brilliant useful device. Great for zipping round the house and an alternative to breaking out the horrible Dyson

1.0 out of 5 stars Can't use it out of doors, 13 April 2008
Er...what use is a phone that has a screen that is invisible on even a dull day. The super stylish silver screen just reflects everything. No use to me as I actually venture out in daylight. How can they design a thing as useless as this. ......one star is too generous. Anybody want this thing - no use to me.......

Please note that this book has another title - Rumpole Misbehaves - so don't buy it thinking it is another new Rumpole.

5.0 out of 5 stars Electronic Metronome, 6 Dec. 2007
Simple excellent tool. Slightly fiddly tempo adjust, but constant pressure on button rapidly advances tempo up or down (the "dial" on the front does nothing). Changing tempo and signature takes no more time than with a traditional metronome but the absolute accuracy of a digital time signature points out how hopeless even decent clockwork units are. All pendulum units require a perfect level to work properly or the beat falters slightly. Also 100 bpm is exactly 100 bpm. Putting this unit against my wittner shows how rapidly the beat diverges. No contest. One evening of playing piano with the electronic unit produced striking results. Highly recommended

4.0 out of 5 stars Good - but be aware..., 27 Jan. 2007
Great machine, but be aware it does not do video plus and will not allow you to record one channel and watch another - only a single tuner fitted.
