5.0 out of 5 stars Indie Perfection, 26 Sept. 2005
The follow-up Album to "Frengers", "...And the Glass Handed Kites" is quite simply the album of the year. At the same time A concept album, it is an album full of amazing individual songs, and not one of the 14 tracks is a let down, even some of the shorter instrumental tracks. With an 80's disco vibe mixed with some of the hardest prog-rock throughout, this danish 4 piece have made an album that requires listen after listen after listen. The singles, "Apocalypso, Special and the forthcomeing Zookeeper's Boy" are all amazing, yet every single song is a work of art in itself whether it be the rawcous opener "Circuitry of the wolf" or the soul-breaking "Louise Louisa". Still not quite getting the listening figures or publicity they deserve, the live experience only cements what should be one of the biggest albums and bands of the year.

There is actually nothing i can possibly think of wrong with this album. You might think that the fact that it is swedish might be a problem, but this is not kent's problem, it is the nature of the english and american market, that is so closed that they will not listen to anything in a foreign tounge. Vapen och Ammunition is the 5th Full Album from Kent and is just as good as all the others yet very different too. In fact i am tempted to call it a leader of what is SO SO needed by the music world. This album might have been in english too, and there is only BMG to blame. BMG who cancelled all promotion on their last Album (Hagnesta Hill), cancelled the release of single Heavenly Junkies, and actually called back the single Music Non Stop after release meaning there are a lot of unsold singles somewhere... Kent do nothing wrong, as this album proves. As for BMG... Buy this album now, support kent, get them back to England!
