Russell Hobbs 15082 1.7 L Blue Illuminating Glass Kettle
Russell Hobbs 15082 1.7 L Blue Illuminating Glass Kettle

1.0 out of 5 stars Another lid jam victim, 4 Dec. 2013
As with others, we too have fallen victim to the lid jamming issue. First kettle jammed after getting progressively stiffer after 16 months or so. Sent back to Russell Hobbs who replaced free of charge. Replacement lasted just beyond the guarantee period before the lid stiffened and then broke free completely.Contacted Russell Hobbs again to be told that they would repair at cost or we could have 60% off a replacement. Declined to take up the offer...
Shame though - really liked the kettle...

The kids love it, we love it. The CD comes with us in the car, the DVD stays at home, but both are well used and loved and has got our 4 year old havily into numbers - particularly the number 2...

Kids loved it, but didn't take them too long to puncture one of the inflatable sliders. Still at the price, they'll get our money's worth...

PURE Sensia, Digital Audio System with Wi-Fi and Colour Touchscreen - Black
PURE Sensia, Digital Audio System with Wi-Fi and Colour Touchscreen - Black

2.0 out of 5 stars Promised so much..., 19 Jan. 2011
The Sensia had been an object of desire for me for some time and I was able to take the plunge and order one this Christmas. It looked so good and promised so much. First impressions were good - all arrived in good order and the carry case was an unexpected bonus. However, things unravelled very quickly from that point.

Essentially the Sensia teases you with all the things it could do if it actually delivered them - internet and music streaming, the apps, digital radio. When I turned it on for the first time the Digital radio tuned ok (although I later found that it had pretty average reception, depending on location), the Apps box produced a Facebook logo or a Pure advert - tapping either produced no response. The product support either in the box or online was so poor it doesn't tell you how to resolve this issue.

I was really excited when I'd registered with 'The Lounge' and had access to internet radio and the BBC's listen again and podcast material - locating and playing broadcasts was quick and easy and all was well... until the signal dropped, leaving you with no option but to start again. This happened every time I used it, although the timing sometimes varied. After investigation on message boards listed in reviews here on the amazon site, I found that others had experienced all thses problems - while in fairness there were those for whom the Sensia seemed to be delivering against its promise.

I so wanted it to work, but there were no obvious fixes to the problems I was experiencing, so it's been returned. On to the Roberts Colourstream now and hoping for better luck (but without the stunning looks of the Sensia). Come on Pure - sort it out and improve your customer and product support at the same time - these problems have been apparent since you launched the Sensia a couple of years ago and it looks like you've done precious little...
