5.0 out of 5 stars Great bit of kit!, 29 Aug. 2008
This is actually a great bit of kit that I use to record small ensembles with and the results are very good. It's a shame that you have to buy this though as with my previous sony camcorders i've plugged in high quality stereo mics so was a little miffed that I had no choice but to get this one but luckily it's pretty good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Marcus Miller proves why he is one of the best, again!, 29 Aug. 2008
This review is from: Marcus (Audio CD)
This album is not the classic of his previous albums but still shows that he is going strong and is still one of the greatest bass players today! Slightly confused as this appears to be the same album as 'Free'? I think it has something to do with him using independant distributers so his albums can appear different in different countries? Strange, but very good album!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic!!, 29 Aug. 2008
This review is from: 1 2 to the Bass (Audio CD)
Stanley Clarke is without doubt is one of the greatest pioneers of the bass and this album shows him hitting more of the main stream. Great playing and those who may not be such big jazz fans should also enjoy it! Would def. recommend it to all!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb, 5 Mar. 2008
This DVD offers a fantastic insight in to the making of Victor Wooten's Yin Yang album and really showcases the pair. Drummers and bass players would particularly love this DVD. It shows how they came up with the drum and bass parts to the songs and is simply superb.

5.0 out of 5 stars He is a Legend and this album is a Classic, 5 Mar. 2008
This review is from: M2 (Audio CD)
A superb and classic album that once again establishes Marcus Miller as one of the greatest bass players around today. 'Lonnie's Lament' is an absolute classic and a real stand out track on the album, worth buying just for that and of course 'Power'. I really wish he would record with full live drums though :o( But he is an inspiration to bass players and i love his style. This album is must have for all bass players!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Classic, 5 Mar. 2008
This review is from: Silver Rain (Audio CD)
Marcus Miller is a legend. I truly respect his playing and this is probably my favourite of his album offerings. This is a real classic that showcases his awesome playing, very inspirational. Some great interaction with the other instruments and some superb writing/arranging!

I wish he would record with less synth though (especially the drums), would have really given it more edge. But that said this is an album that you will not get tired of!!!!! Buy it, buy it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars A superb DVD, shame it's just repackaged, 5 Mar. 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Superb DVD, i would definately recommend it to Bass players, however don't be fooled by the packaging, this DVD is a repackaged version from the shell suit and bum bag era. Would like to see Victor make a new one.

Don't let this put you off though it is a fantastic DVD!

Another stunning album from the legend Victor Wooten. I recommend getting the DVD `Victor Wooten And Carter Beauford - Making Music' which gives you an insight into how the album was made and makes you really appreciate the fantastic musicians on this album.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wooten is The God of Bass, 5 Mar. 2008
This review is from: A Show of Hands (Audio CD)
A simply superb and breathtaking album. This is a solo bass effort so probably would only interest die hard bass players. But this album really showcases the legend and proves why he is one the greatest bass players (alive) today. Very inspirational stuff!

Although there is a laugh out loud track (Me & My Bass Guitar) where he shows his MC Wooten skills with a bit of rapping that will make you cringe. Although he is one talented guy so I guess we can let him off.

If you're a bass player and want to be inspired, don't delay, buy today!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish with Vista, 6 Dec. 2007
Delivery was very quick, I have no problem with the supplier but the product...
After unfortunately having to turn to Vista I've had to re-buy some hardware, a blue tooth dongle being one. This is the third one I've tried with Vista and it's rubbish quite simply. The design is very poor, mine fell in half out of the packaging so after putting it back together I tried it. This claims to work with vista which it does, install with vista that is. But it couldn't work with my mouse and using it with my mobile calendar was a nightmare. Every time I synced my mobile calendar with my computer it just duplicated each appointment every time, so you end up with loads of the same appointment. You really get what you pay for with this. I know it's extremely cheap but don't be fooled, even the software that comes with it is very cheap and nasty. I've now bought a Belkin version 100m which is amazing, works like a dream and the software is simple and subtle! If you have Vista, Belkin's the way to go, it will cost more but at least it works!!
