2.0 out of 5 stars Badly made, 5 May 2016

Good price and good design and fit, but a false economy. I bought two pairs initially and on both, the front button and the two back pocket buttons came off within days. Also the belt loops on both trousers were badly sewn and came apart on the first wearing. Thinking that this experience may just have been the result of one bad batch, I ordered another pair some months later. Exactly the same thing happened re buttons and belt loops. So unless you can sew well, you'd be better off paying more for a better make.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful television, 26 May 2013

I read the book some years ago when it first came out, and loved it. I heard they'd done a TV version and bought the DVD. I've watched in twice, and it's just as good as the book. This is captivating, thought-provoking and all-round enjoyable television at close to its best. If you're in two minds about buying it, go with the mind that says yes. You won't be disappointed.

3.0 out of 5 stars An easy read, but..., 11 Sept. 2012

To be honest, I was a little disappointed with this book.

Pros:

The unique insight of its author gives it weight and authenticity. That, along with the historical significance of the subject matter, is its main selling point. It's easy to read.

Cons:

There's very little, if any, analysis of context. Nearly half of the book is the story of 'Mark Owen' BEFORE the raid that killed OBL. The rest reads like an adventure paperback. There was nothing in it that particularly surprised me, there was no real 'wow factor'. The author also lays into President Obama too much for my liking. I'm neither Republican nor Democrat, but did not much appreciate the criticism, particularly as the author gives no reasons, political or otherwise, for his dislike of the president. He should have concentrated on the story, which is far more interesting than his personal political views.

I suppose I'm glad to have read the book, but would not rush to recommend it.
