5.0 out of 5 stars A serious, practical, well written book that takes you from nothing to doing great things, 31 Mar. 2014

This is so far the best of the auduino "how to do it" books. With this book, the downloadable example code, and a handful of easy to obtain electronic components, you will be writing and building your own projects in no time. The illustrations are clear and the reference material accessible and relevant. I thought I knew the arduino pretty well, this book showed me how wrong I was, and I am glad of it.

5.0 out of 5 stars A fabulous introduction to ballet, 12 Aug. 2013

This production is a pure joy to watch. The timing both balletic and comic is unparalleled. William Tuckett as the mother steels the show with such warmth that you really feel that "she" truly loves "her" daughter and is trying to act in her best interests. The story is told so clearly through dance and facial expression that my 3 year old Granddaughter had no problem telling me what happening (it's also a great way to keep a child spell-bound for a hour or so while you tidy up). Marianela Nuñez is beautiful and truly charming as Lise. This is a ballet about love, of a mother and daughter, a man and a woman, that engages a smile at any age.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's so good you will actually laugh at a Shakespeare comedy, 19 Jun. 2013

It is so rare that you go to see a film with high expectations only to find that those expectations did not do the true experience justice. Whedon's skill was to simplify the visual (single location, shot in B/W) but to allow the humour and brilliance of the pure Shakespearean script to bubble from the exciting, young and talented cast. Many of the actors I recognised from earlier Whedon works (such as Angel and Buffy). I can't recommend this film highly enough to the lover of razor sharp dialogue, words that 400 years and a modern setting, have not dulled.
