Bought this book for a friend and he says it was his best birthday present, has brought back lots of memories from his touring and also racing days in the 60s. He claims anyone who raced up Kidd's Hill (The Wall) in the Ashdown Forest or Cowleaze (not actually named by the author) on the Isle of Wight will love sitting back and reading how Jack tackled them. The climb up Netley towards Ranmore Common via Crocknorth Road also brought a wry smile.............many thanks.
Excellent book. Going to Rome later this year, and my 10 year old likes reading it too, Planning what we can do with just a week there, it well laid out and not too cumbersome to take with us.....a great help esp for a first time visit.
