Her Miracle Twins (Mills & Boon Medical)
Her Miracle Twins (Mills & Boon Medical)
Price: £2.99

1.0 out of 5 stars Odd style, 8 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As other reviewers have commented, the prose style of this book is rather disjointed, the characters lack depth and the narrative rattles along like an express train derailing credibility as it goes on its way to possibly one of the most contrived HEAs that I've read. Given the settings, so much more could have been possible.

3.0 out of 5 stars It may be groovy but it's no match for a determined chihuahua!, 2 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I ordered this for my dad who's fairly technophobic. Price was reasonable and dispatch and delivery was fairly speedy. Where it fell down - or more literally apart - was its ability to withstand a bit of minor aggression from my dad's chihuahua-Yorkie cross, who objected to anything taking attention away from him. Dad assured me that for the five days he had it, the sound quality was quite acceptable. Unfortunately on the sixth day, the dog managed to open the CD door and then proceeded to rip it off. So I think I have to mark this down on durability.

5.0 out of 5 stars Little gem, 31 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I love it when STP got inside his characters and produced little gems like this. It was part of what makes Discworld a fully-realised creation. This is a travellers guide to the towns, cities and villages of the Disc that have the good fortune to be near the new railway built during "Raising Steam". Railway afficianados may notice a certain similarity with the 19th century guide mentioned copiously in Conan Doyle.

1.0 out of 5 stars Don't waste your time!, 31 Aug. 2015
Lacking depth and understanding. Just like his review of the work of proper authors which apparently he doesn't need to read to comment upon. Don't waste your time. I didn't.

2.0 out of 5 stars Buy the whole story and save your money, 17 April 2015
This is only part of the first book in the St Pirans series. I don't know why they have broken it up and re-issued it this way apart from greed. The original (double) novel can be found here http://www.amazon.co.uk/St-Pirans-Rescuing-Pregnant-Cinderella/dp/0263879321

5.0 out of 5 stars Prevents those embarassing moments when your ass calls home., 8 Mar. 2014
This case looks smart, fits the Q5 perfectly, protects the screen and prevents your bottom accidentally calling your nearest and dearest when you've put it in your back pocket and sat down. Only quibble is that they don't do one in red yet, to match my phone. Otherwise it's great.

2.0 out of 5 stars Why not have the full size range?, 8 Oct. 2013
A quick check of the Seasalt Cornwall website reveals that this dress is available in sizes up to 20. It's a lovely dress but the seller isn't doing themselves any favours by refusing to cater to the 50%+ of ladies who take size 14 and above.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exceptionally good, 31 Oct. 2011
Mills and Boon are a guilty pleasure. Ideal fluffy holiday reading - the equivalent of Kleenex. Particularly the "medical romance" genre. Except this one was engaging, emotionally charged, especially the second of the two. The emotion depicted was so raw and honest that there was the ring of personal experience about it. Detailing the fallout of a (fairly late) miscarriage on the couple concerned in the second book and the repercussions of previous failed relationships in the first, the result is a double volume where the author appears to have tried to go above the standard model for M&B, resulting in a much more satisfactory emotional journey for the reader. Oh and it might be an idea to keep the Kleenex handy...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sublime pleasure, 31 Oct. 2011
Eric Thompson's script is full of little gems. Our personal favourite is "I'll go and see Florence, she's painfully well-adjusted." A national treasure.

5.0 out of 5 stars Leaves the recent remake dead in the water, 18 Jun. 2011
Simply that. Just goes to show that a multi-million budget and a shed load of CGI are no match for a quality cast and Ray Harryhausen.
