I have used cameras since 1962, but with time on my hands I wanted to get a little into street photography. I am a hobby shooter, not a professional. I had done a 'Look Inside' and so I was aware of the content and tone of the book. For me it worked. It did not tell me anything I did not already know, but it made me think about what I thought I knew. Since reading it I can see that I have changed my approach when carrying a camera out with me. I shoot allsorts, Masai Mara, Galapagos, air-shows, and a bit of street. The book is more about how to think about street shooting than a 'how to' manual, and that is what I wanted. I also enjoyed the 'conversations' with other photographers. I am not into RAW as I don't print anything, or exhibit - just one of those Flickr and Smugmug hacks - so i was not to interested in the post shooting processing section. I use Aperture, but don't spend more than a few minutes processing shots, whether from digital camera or 35mm film. As I am very poor at editing out shots, I found the comments on this topic of special use.
Others may not give five stars, but it all depends what you are looking for from the book. For me, it worked.
