Absolutely incredible first album, backed up with the original 4 songs they recorded for their promo back in 2009 this take on melodic / technical death metal is clearly inspiring and many of the more well known / mainstream bands have a lot to learn about keeping an album has thrilling and entertaining as this one was to listen too.

A good variety of writing styles can clearly be seen with reborn being a bit softer (all clean vocals) and then the signature "Nothing to Save" shining and a classic melodeath song.

I had a few issues (personally) with the vocals at times when i felt they could be higher pitched or much lower growls (as the original vocalist sounded) but this might just be a different mastering / mixing style and despite this it does not take away how awesome the music is and i still very much enjoy the vocals as they are - thats just my preference for vocals like Abigail williams or Be'Lakor's vocalists.

If you enjoy any melodic death metal, you will enjoy this album (hell, if you enjoy metal you will enjoy this album).
Very recommended, support the band!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Sound, 20 Nov. 2014

At the moment, the headphones sound and look great (i received several comments asking where i bought them from) and a week after purchase they are still working brilliantly (i realize that some headphones on amazon break extremely quickly.
I would definitely recommend them, and if they can last me around 8 months like my old ear phones i will be genuinely impressed especially considering the price of the betrons compared to other equivalent products on the market.
I will alter the review as time goes, however the quality of these earphones leads me to believe i won't have to change it:

Great sounding bass (clear too)
Clear sound
Very tough cable, which is not too long either
Looks awesome - you can change the red coloured earbuds if you do not like red
Gold plated jack

For the price, not much more you need.

10/10

Whilst their newer albums have taken a slightly more industrial / death metal approach, this remains their strongest release since their formation.
Sinthetic is a wonderful combination of keyboard melodies and brutal black metal riffs and the shrieking vocals delivered here perfectly suit the music in question.
It has a good balance between quick songs and slower, darker songs so there is something for anyone.
10/10 - Good for anyone into death/black metal and all the subgenres

My highlights - Demonised, Ja Pimeys lasketui, Pain and Pleasure

3.0 out of 5 stars Small?, 17 July 2013

I would have given the case a much higher rating if it were not for a few things:
While the case is solid and obviously well put together, it is a nightmare to get on and off of your ipod.
The holes for headphones and charger are extremely small and i had to use a very old pair to listen to music properly from it.
The inbuilt screen protector is a good idea, but the material is blurry.

However id recommend it to people who dont really listen to music or take their ipods to potienially dangerous places.

Not really a fan of "black metal" but the melodic side of the album/songs i love, reminds me of the melodeath i generally listen too. Id recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Melodicness..., 7 May 2013

Meadows end lived up to their melodic backgrounds with (i think) their first major release.
A great song list, with plenty heavy songs such as Coven of Blood and My demon, but each one had a melodic twist.
You you enjoy Melodeath metal, this could be the album for you!

As a new fan, i didnt really know what i was expecting but i actually really like most of their songs!
My highlights were:
Inherit the Earth
Phoenix Down
Collapse my dream
The rest were equally amazing.
Id recommend this band to anyone who likes screamo/metal with a melodic twist.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fabulous Metal from Scar Symmetry, 22 Dec. 2012

This review is from: The Unseen Empire (Audio CD)
(In response to a review I wrote two years ago).

I bought this album when it first came out two years ago. If you're wondering if you should get it, then know it still entertains me now, and I have never become bored of anything on the album.
This is quite possibly the best release ever seen by SS, and i believe it is also a stronger/better release than their newest "singularity phase one", which is sub-par by my standards.
Each song has its merits, and although i admit sometimes the guitar solos are a bit tedious - they still outshine other solos of the genre. My personal highlights will probably be: "The Anomaly, Illuminoid dream sequence, The draconian arrival (wow), and Alpha and Omega (simply because its so ducking heavy!).

And where i said i dislike guitar solos, thats just because im more of a vocals kinda guy...however on the song "rise of the reptillian regime" i must say this guitar solo just after the middle of the song surprised me. It kept me on the edge of my seat as it started and then appears some of the finest riffing i've heard by Per since his career began. Check it out yourself if you dont believe me, its certainly my favorite solo on the album.

This album is a must for any metal fan, and I must ask that you buy this immediately.
