4.0 out of 5 stars How leaders can better connect with others in the workplace, 20 Mar. 2016
This is a really useful hand book for someone who wants to better understand the nature of change and how it can affect people. It explores the role of the leader in smoothing the way by improving how they connect with others in the workplace. It is very practical and filled with examples from real life situations. It introduces concepts drawn from coaching as well as aspects of positive psychology. It explores what creates a winning mindset and sets out ideas and exercises to help achieve this. Underpinning the book is a sense of unconditional positive regard for people who are trying to do their best in the VUCA world that we life in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical and pragmatic, 20 Feb. 2014
What I like about this book is that it cuts the waffle. Sure there's jargon but it is explained and not used gratuitously. The mini case studies are excellent and illustrate the points made beautifully. A great book for anyone to dip into whether new to management or an experienced leader. Ann's mantra of 'Stop bad management and start achieving through good management' is the golden thread throughout. This book provides practical support to anyone who wants to apply this philosophy. Well done Ann and the Chartered Management Institute.
