S.O.M are dull & pretentious. i did not like them in the 80's and they sound even worse with the passage of time. They look stupid too.
"Alice" however is one of the best tracks ever recorded, I never tire of it

Punky enough to appeal to noise lovers but quite catchy & mainstream (in a good way) They were under-rated at the time but they probably did not care

I don't like faith no more, this kind of music in general, & the second 1/2 is dull.
However, the first 5 tracks are excellent & i play them over and over. Seems to remind me of a specific time in the 80's

Since 1989 or so, this has been a constant favourite.Low end distorted heavy noise with grunted yet decipherable(just) lyrics. Production quality is so-so but turn the volume up enough and it doesn't matter. Sounds like Birmingham on a dark rainy day. Excellent

I thought I was the only one. These were obscure even in the 1980's but now are a rare acquired taste. Sounds abit like Surfers, Nick cave occasionally, cramps maybe. "owners lament" is one of those evergreen tracks that sounds good in any decade.

Every track sounds the same, miserable distorted noise, slow(occasionaly fast) abrasive horrible sound. No idea what the lyrics are but makes Rollins sound like a happy pixie. How they expect to sell any records making this kind of noise is unfathomable. It is so depressing it somehow cheers you up. I love it, best thing I have bought in a long time.

No disrespect to the other band members but Brody is the reason to get this. Best female vocals I have heard in very many years.Catchy noisy sing-along, first album with the dog on the cover is even better. I hope I'm sttill listening to this in 20years time

5.0 out of 5 stars Joyful Tunes, 12 Sept. 2007
Virtually every track on this is worth a listen, even the ones I have heard a thousand times before. The sound quality is quite good bearing in mind most was recorded for $3 or something 25+ years ago.
A bit more sleeve notes/history would have been interesting, and the obligatory photo of Henry Rollins is bogus as he does not feature on the cd!
Still, very much worth getting as would be accompanying DVD if it ever gets released in the UK.
