5.0 out of 5 stars Touch of European style in New Zealand!, 14 Feb. 2014

I totally love it. The quality is superior and the size is ideal.

The heating performance is incredible, ideal for indoors and outdoors too. I had my doubts about the heating performance of the stone but it proved I have nothing to worry about.

3.0 out of 5 stars "I never will be queen", honey you were a queen........ a DRAMA QUEEN!, 14 Feb. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The book is ok if you don't know much about Diana. However, the author seems to have a small vocabulary. In addition he keeps repeating what you already had read several times in the book.

It seems to me that the book is looking to get sympathy for Diana. Nevertheless, after you read it sympathy is the last feeling you'll have. I finished the book thinking she was a truly pathetic person who was right to feel intellectually inferior. She dropped out of high school, therefore indeed she was intellectually inferior. Not the right role model you want for your children.

She wondered how the world could "love" her but not those living with her. Well, the world only saw her smiling face in the news; those living with her saw her true self which wasn't a nice picture.

Her "connection" to the poor sounds extremely superficial for somebody who wouldn't go anywhere without her Dior handbags and who would chose an over €300k engagement ring.

I could carry on but I'd leave that to the next reader who soon will find out how superficial, unintellectual, insecure and pathetic person she was.

All the time when reading this book, I wished Diana was a fictional character, the one you love to hate in some books. Disappointedly she was real!

Best vegetarian recipe book ever. It is simple, easy and doesn't waste space with pointless pictures. I have made lots of her recipes and they all have been great.

This book is a gem which all vegetarians should have at home. If you are not vegetarian go for it too, you will find out that vegetarian food is not boring at all!

Inferno: (Robert Langdon Book 4)
Inferno: (Robert Langdon Book 4)
Price: £3.66

5.0 out of 5 stars The waiting was worth, 6 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was reluctantly looking forward to Langdon's latest adventure since The Symbol was a bit of a disappointment. Nevertheless Inferno didn't let me down and it has an unusual end for Brown's books which doubtlessly would make Hollywood.

Written in the classical Brown style, the book is dynamic and captivating; it's impossible to put it down. The subject could be controversial for some and fascinating for others, indeed the ideal topic for one of his books.

If you like Brown's books you won't be disappointed with this one.

This book should be mandatory in all schools around the world. However, the feeble minded would struggle with it.

Brilliantly written, sarcastic and very smart.

2.0 out of 5 stars Five books and few short stories in one!, 6 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Lace (Kindle Edition)
The author could have easily get 5 books and few short stories out of Lace, there is not surprise they had a whole TV series for it.

The author is consistent and won't let you wondering what happened to any of the characters, even if there are plenty of men in this book. However you'd get bored of so many random stories that go on for pages and pages taking you nowhere. At the end the author seems to be in a great hurry to tidy up all the endless faff in the few last chapters leaving you wondering why she bothered in the fist place with those crazy stories.

Quite frankly the book is not worth it! You only will enjoy this book if you are wondering how a version of Sex and the City would be like from the 50's until the 80's but you'll need lots of patience not to give up through all the blah.

Born Wild: The Extraordinary Story of One Man's Passion for Lions and for Africa.
Price: £3.49

5.0 out of 5 stars It made me dream of Africa., 6 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I loved this book from cover to cover. It made me dream of Africa and its amazing wildlife every minute I was reading this book and well after I finished it.

You'll laugh and you'll cry. You will see the ugly side of humans, the constant battle between conservationist and the rich and powerful with absurd taste.

I recommend this book to anybody interested in Africa and conservation. If you are curious about what George Adamson contributed to conservation and what his legacy has been, if you want to know all that Tony Fitzjohn has done trying to preserve wildlife then this is the book for you.

This book is ok if you didn't find anything else you wanted to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Engaging but, 6 Jan. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Gone Girl (Kindle Edition)
The book is indeed engaging so you won't get bored but you will feel disappointed at the end.

It isn't precisely a pice of great literature. It's written poorly and the unnecessary swearing doesn't add anything to the story.
