4.0 out of 5 stars The Force is with this one, 7 April 2012
Kinect Star Wars, the latest in a long line of Star Wars games but can it live up to its quality of the other games...

There are several main modes you'll be playing in Kinect Star Wars:
Dark Side Rising:
The main story campaign missions. This sees you as a padawan trying to defend a training camp on Kashyyk then in space to get through a blockade. The first block of missions is on Kashyyk which sees you slicing through droids, forcing Trandoshans of platforms and in a speeder chase. All the controls are responsive and work well, especially the force mechanic. These missions are also very fun in co-op (All the game modes can be played in co-op too)
Duels Mode:
Even though I have yet to play this mode if it works like the duels in the Dark Side Rising mode it should be quite something
Rancor Rampage:
My favourite mode sees you as an escaped Rancor with only one goal, cause as much mayhem as you can. Challenge mode is in a time limit tasking you to complete various goals and fury mode where you have to destroy as much as you can before your killed by enemy forces. The destruction engine looks good as do the graphics in all the modes.
Galactic Dance Off:
A slightly unusual addition to sci-fi game but a fun one too. you follow the instructions on the left of the screen whilst a character (Han Solo or A Stromtrooper) shows your moves on screen. the songs aren't real licensed ones but Star Wars themed spin-offs of songs. Its controls aren't amazing and the moves are simple but it still worth a bit of your time.
Podracing has a separate quest line that has you racing for Watto to regain his money for him. Controls are very responsive but holding your arms out for roughly five minutes or more can make your muscles ache quite badly; otherwise a very good mode.

Nice graphics
Extremely fun in co-op
Most controls are responsive
Plenty of modes to take up your time

Podracing can hurt your arms after prolonged periods of time.

A Kinect game that you definitely should consider purchasing!

5.0 out of 5 stars Keep Driving!, 4 April 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Driver San Francisco is a re-make of the original Driver game. Here are my thoughts on it...

Single player:
Single player in Driver SF is amazing. Its a game that manages to be open world and non linear without removing you from the drivers seat. Some people may decide to not buy because you can't leave your vehicle. Don't let it put you off; you can cause enough carnage without having to walk! You follow the story of John Tanner, a cop who recently brought down gang kingpin Charles Jericho. Unfortunately, on his way to prison Jericho escapes. Whilst chasing him Tanner is in a car accident which then grants him powers to 'Shift' between any car, truck or other vehicle he desires. The shift mechanic is very smooth and gives the game a unique selling point that is very fun to use. There are plenty of missions, activities, dares (Stunts and speed type challenges) and challenges (including movie ones that nod to famous films Bullit, The Italian Job...). Plenty of replay value long after you've completed the main story. Visuals look breathtaking in cutscenes but on the road deteriorate but only slightly.

I wouldn't recommend Driver SF for multiplayer. Speaking in 2012 the multiplayer is largely empty, many modes are not used and you very rarely get over 3 people in a match. Shift in multiplayer is very fun though but only when you're in a good game; otherwise the multiplayer is desolate despite the fun concept of it. Its sad that more people don't play the multiplayer.

Excellant single player
Shift is an interesting and fun idea
Graphics are good
(When in a good match) Multiplayer is fantastic!
A lot of replay value

Not enough people on multiplayer!

A superb game that I recommend for every Xbox 360 owner!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, 12 Feb. 2012
Duck Soup is an absolute masterpiece of comedy, not just then but now.
The plot is mainly about a Rufus T Firefly who gets appointed the leader of the fictional state, Freedonia. It then delves into utterly hilarious comedy in the problem of war with the neighbouring Slyvania. From then on the laughs get huge with gags from a fight between a peanut salesman and a lemonade salesman to the broken mirror.
its absolutely fantastic, no collection should be without it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Houston, we do not have a problem!, 27 Dec. 2011
Let me first say this. You don't have to be a space enthusiast to watch Apollo 13. Anyway on to the review:

The film starts with the Apollo 1 disaster: a training exercise on the rocket that caused a fire, killing all the astronauts on board. This is relevant to the film as Jim Lovell who piloted Apollo 13 knew all of the people who were killed. The film then skips to Lovell and his family watching Neil Armstrong land on the Moon. Then we go to the NASA assembly building with Lovell showing around some journalists. He is then told that Alan Shepard, the captain of Apollo 13 will be unable to go into space so Lovell is asked to replace him. time then fast forwards to 2 days before the launch when Jim Lovell is told that one of his two other astronauts going to the Moon has the has been put into quarantine with measles so he can't go up; he is then replaced with another astronaut, that Jim isn't happy with. I'll stop explaining as I don't want to ruin the story but the film soon becomes a race against time to get the three astronauts home.
All the acting is top notch as is the screenplay. all the actors manage to give it an intense, uncomfortable atmosphere that fits brilliantly into the situation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Causing Chaos, 10 Dec. 2011
Even though i've only been playing this game for around five days this is my impression of it:
HUGE area to explore
Ridiculously fun
A lot of explosions
Can be bought very cheap
A lot of game time
constantly respawning AI
Story doesn't really take off
Thrown into a vast island with no boundries, run riot and cause chaos! A brilliant buy!

Xbox 360's new wireless controller, he's my verdict:
Very stylish
Lovely glossy finish
All the buttons, pads and control sticks fell high quality
and obviously without wires your not tied down to a specific place
Short battery life (for which i would suggest Play and Charge Kit - Black (Xbox 360) or buy them both together Wireless Controller plus Play and Charge Kit (Xbox 360))
A must have buy for any gamer!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant First Game, 4 Sept. 2011
This review is from: MySims (Nintendo DS) (Video Game)
First DS game I ever played. Should give me plenty of an opinion on it...
Nice art and graphics for a DS game
Easy to grasp
Feeling of goodness when making someone happy
Fun and well thought mini games
Once your top level doesn't seem to be much more replay value
A fantastic game for first time or a light yet fun game for experienced ones.

4.0 out of 5 stars Faithful Ol' Watch, 2 Sept. 2011
I have had this watch for a few years and heres what I have experienced with it over that time:
Stylish but not over the top
Still haven't experienced any mechanical difficulties
Waterproof to 50m
The Velcro on the strap is becoming worse and worse as I keep wearing it
A superb watch that I will be sad to see go!
