A Must Read!, 5 Sept. 2012
This is one of the best books about PR I have ever come across, ever! It's a current and extremely insightful portrait of the industry and at the same time a pure joy to read.
I cannot imagine any young PRO wanting to succeed without first making themselves familiar with this book. I read many publications about PR, but I could never find anything that would provide me with a detailed description of the industry and wasn't dry at the same time. Brand Anarchy is about the past, the present and the future of PR. Steve Earl and Stephen Waddington present their readers with a first-hand expertise by telling them straight up how things are... and they are doing it so well. Without a doubt, this book is a great investment!
Favourite quote? Perhaps the one that reminded me about Kevin Keller's Customer Based Brand Equity Pyramid "Brands are created by consumers and exist in their minds." Oh yes, they do...
Finally, absolutely loved the way they built the momentum in the last few chapters. Quite thrilling! Looking forward to the Brand Anarchy II...?
