1.0 out of 5 stars Not the real thing, 2 Dec. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Close To You (Audio CD)
This is not the real Close to You album of Frank Sinatra. Furthermore, the sound quality is appalling. I regret this purchase.

2.0 out of 5 stars Excellent performance; lousy video quality, 24 July 2012
Sony just released the famous Bruckner/Munchen/Celibidache tapings on DVD. Luckly no blu ray version of that box as the video of the performances is horrible. In this case (1992/Berliner/Celibidache) and it being a blu ray release I expected a much better picture. Big disappointment. The concert/audio is okay, but the video is not horrible but lousy and in particular the cropping from 4:3 to 16:9 makes it even worse. There is nothing against 4:3 if the source material is 4:3. The obsession to make older videos look widescreen should be abandoned. All in all I would say: if you want this one buy the DVD. However, the blu ray is cheaper than the DVD version. So I am lost.

1.0 out of 5 stars Stop this paper nonsense and create a kindle version, 8 Sept. 2011
I used to buy this guide every year when it comes out. But I stopped doing this as in this day and age, a heavy paper book is useless. If there is one type of a book which usefullnes benefits from an electronic version it is this guide. The content is second to none. So please join me in urging the publisher to create an electronic version (it also saves a lot of trees).
