5.0 out of 5 stars Love It, 3 April 2015
I loved Star Wars Ep.1 on the PS1 when I was a kid and I still love it now. I'm very sentimental about this game, as daft as that sounds.

Yes, the graphics are slightly sloppy and at times the gameplay and story are frustrating but if you love the franchise (and I'm a fan, but not a diehard) then you'll love this game regardless of its deficiencies.

4.0 out of 5 stars In A Way, FIFA before FIFA, 1 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Actua Soccer 3 (Video Game)
I owned a second-hand copy of Actua Soccer 3 years ago and enjoyed it immensely but for some reason I got rid of it. I recently purchased it again on Amazon like I have done with a couple of other old PS1 games and I was surprised by elements of the game that I wasn't aware of all those years ago. Where FIFA 99 and 2000 were lacking in terms of depth, Actua Soccer 3 was thriving. The gameplay itself is lacking naturally given that it was released in 1998 but the wide array of teams and players available is something that EA wouldn't pick up on for some time yet. It's a shame that no further, improved releases in the franchise were made because the Actua series could have acted as a genuine competitor to the FIFA and Pro Evo series as the years went by.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Bit Shorter Than I'd Like, But the Results Blow Your Mind, 1 Mar. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought a PS3 last May and have been completely unaware of how better the sound & picture quality could be. I purchased the HDMI cable with the aim of playing Blu-Ray films, but was amazed by the wider affect it has had on the presentation of the PS3 menu and games such as FIFA 15. This cable makes FIFA 15 on the PS3 look like FIFA 15 on the PS4, it's that good.

The only minor complaint is that the cable itself is a bit short but I was able to get around that. Other than that, it does a phenomenal job and I highly recommend it, especially for the price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Only Gets a 3rd Star for Sting, 31 Oct. 2014
This review is from: WWE 2K15 (PS3) (Video Game)
The game itself isn't that bad. The problem is the almost complete lack of difference from 2k14. Naturally, manufacturers want you to purchase a Next Gen console and as such the Next Gen version of the game, but to actually produce a watered down version of the game from the year before is a disgrace. The only differences are the minor inclusions of NXT related gameplay, the roster update and the long awaited inclusion of the legendary Sting as a genuine playable character after years of being a Create-A-Wrestler favourite for fans. Being able to play as genuine versions of both of Sting's personas is an absolute treat, but unfortunately doesn't do enough to make this game worthy of a positive review.

Additionally, to remove previous features of the game and make it worth less in regards to the whole product than the previous version is scandalous and smacks of a marketing ploy on the part of the WWE and 2K Sports. Very disappointing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful Song, 12 Jan. 2014
This review is from: I'm with You (MP3 Download)
I'm With You came at a time when an "anti-Britney" was desperately needed, which of course is what Avril was nicknamed when she came along. It's a song that shows maturity but also emotion and is a highlight not only of this debut album but also of her career as a whole.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good But Limited in Comparison to 2008, 31 Dec. 2013
= Fun:4.0 out of 5 stars
This game suffered from the release of the Legends of Wrestlemania game that was released around the same time as this leading up to Wrestlemania 25.

There are good features such as manual brand swapping, as well as face and heel turning for use in exhibitions. You can also move titles from superstar to superstar without needing to go through a match to force a change. However, there are no legends to unlock due to the aforementioned "Legends..." game and the storyline mode is far weaker than in 2008. There are a small number of wrestlers to choose from to engage in the 'Road to Wrestlemania' storylines, such as CM Punk and Undertaker, as well as the chance to unlock DX and Evolution with Triple H.

There are still the Classic WCW and Hardcore titles to unlock, though the Cruiserweight title replaces the Attitude Era WWE title this time around, which was a poor decision in my opinion.

Nonetheless, the game is good fun despite its deficiencies.

4.0 out of 5 stars Packed With Quality Features, 31 Dec. 2013
= Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars
The 24/7 and Hall of Fame modes are stand outs here. There are so many creative elements in this version of Smackdown vs. Raw that it out-did all of its predecessors, giving the player a lot to play for and a lot of fun. Legends include Rock, Stone Cold, Sabu, Terry Funk, Bret Hart and various more. There's even the Million Dollar, Classic WCW and Hardcore titles to unlock, not forgetting the old Attitude version of the WWE title.

Still makes for good gaming today.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Quality Funk, 29 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
'Release The Beast' is obviously a standout due its eyebrow melting riff and upbeat feel, not forgetting how it was ripped off by Daft Punk for 'Robot Rock', and I happen to like Daft Punk.

However, the album as a whole is full of great songs and the packaging is good too, as part of a series on classic bands from the era.

Highly recommended to any Funk fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Epic; Saliva's Standout Tune In My Opinion, 24 Dec. 2013
This review is from: Always (MP3 Download)
There's an absolute ton of emotion here. Saliva wrote a few songs that stood out from being simply hard metal rockers, and 'Always' is probably the best of the lot. It's a song that you can really sink into, which I personally think is always a sign of a good song.
