This review is from: The Way to Outer Space (Paperback)
A sweet and fun book with added craft activities and brilliant illustrations! Including instructions to make a toy rocket and origami stars and to draw alien friends, there's lots to keep little ones busy. An inspiring story too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny and moving!, 29 Aug. 2014
A really moving - and funny - memoir of a nightmare situation; being diagnosed with cancer in the early stages of your first pregnancy. A brave and honest book with a lovely sense of scale, of the everyday alongside such big decisions and thoughts of life and death, a brilliant observational eye for detail and particularly for characters - for the hilarious, stupid, and kind things people say, too. And a lovely colour palette, none of which stray in to the maudlin, as anything on this subject so easily could. Also full of good advice on what to say and do (and what not to) if anyone you know receives a similar diagnosis. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple AND delicious, 20 July 2012
Before being given this book as a present, I was cooking a lot from recipe books written by chefs - the duo behind Kitchen & Co are professional cooks too but the simplicity of the recipes I've tried here so far have been a breath of fresh air, in comparison. The recipes are simpler, but most importantly, just as delicious - if not more so! The methods short enough to be easily memorisable, and the ingredients lists are equally achievable - they might not seen particularly short at first glance but where I've added things to my store cupboard, I have found myself going back again and again, continuing to use them. I've also made a couple of recipes without the full list of ingredients too, and they've still worked brilliantly. An incredibly useful and inspiring book to have in the kitchen.

5.0 out of 5 stars All you could need for a fabulous afternoon tea, 19 July 2012
This recipe book is a real gem - brim full of great ideas for a tea-party, birthday party, or any time! Including some really delicious twists on traditional treats (like cucumber sandwiches with strawberries and mint, or passion fruit fairy cakes) there is a huge range to choose from here, for sweets and savouries. I will be dipping in to this regularly for a long time to come, and the hilarious Miss hope makes me chortle each time I do.

Great story - what an amazing life! A fascinating look at the criminal world in London. Can't recommend it highly enough.
