1.0 out of 5 stars The roundabouts of Slough are more interesting and mor amusing!!, 29 Dec. 2016
Breathing life into a corpse is at best what this is. It's painful and at times embarrassing to watch. It says nothing new at all and actually detracts from our memories of Brent. We all know he is an uncomfortable tragic crass character. Nothing has been gained in this resurrection.

The outtakes are the funniest part of this depressing outing. Sorry Ricky this was just not finest hour.

5.0 out of 5 stars New classic rock!, 16 July 2014
This review is from: NxN (Audio CD)
Hits you where it needs to. Excellent debut effort from this very musically tight band. Well crafted and intelligent melodies and lyrics underpinned by highly skilled musicians. This is both a refreshing and familiar sound rolled into one. I have followed their development over the years and seen them live.Miss them at your peril.Unfortunately I missed them in Sweden whilst they were supporting Europe but saw them whilst on tour with Y&T. Fantastic live shows which radiate the raw enthusiasm these boys have for their craft. On the basis of these 10 tracks the future has to be bright. Buy it now!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant, 7 Sept. 2003

Just listen to the opening track to undrestand that this is one of their best offerings which is often overlooked.
Be disappointed if you dare!

5.0 out of 5 stars Hope amongst hell, 1 Aug. 2003
A brilliant essay of surviving the extremes of hatred for your fellow man.
To experience this in his words was compelling frightening and gripping. One can simply not begin to imagine how anyone survived such depravity.
Yet the book is also an epistle of hope.
A fascinating read that I could not put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars A piece of perfect history, 1 Aug. 2003
I read the extracts of this book in The Daily Telegraph and immediately fell in love with the feel of the days of empire and the civilised Englishman abroad. I immediateley bought Scoop and awaited publication. I was not to be disappointed : a simply delightful read. Why has so much been lost of what this country stood for?
Deedes takes you through a fascinating journey. I loved every minute.
