Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This GCSE work book works perfectly alongside the GCSE revision guide, written by the same publisher. It has been prepared for students taking the new style exam from 2017, where exams are graded 9-1.

Included within the book are practice exam question on the following topics (as included in the revision guide): Number; Algebra; Graphs; Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change; Geometry and Measures; pythagoras and Trigonometry; and Probability and Statistics. Answers are also included in the workbook.

In summary this is a perfect revision guide for all students when used alongside the CGP GCSE OCR Mathematics (The Revision Guide). It splits revision into manageable chunks, while splitting topics into smaller, manageable sections.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great for students sitting new format exams, 4 Aug. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This GCSE revision guide has been prepared for students taking the new style exam from 2017, where exams are graded 9-1.

Buying this book also gives the purchaser access to an online edition of the book. It proclaims to be packed full of no-nononsense explanations, worked examples, grade information and exam style questions for each topic included.

Topics included within this book are: Number; Algebra; Graphs; Ratio, Proportion and Rates of Change; Geometry and Measures; pythagoras and Trigonometry; and Probability and Statistics. Each topic is split into many sub topics and each has one A4 page devoted to it, explaining things in plain english, with examples (worked) and highlight key language and terms used. Each topic also have revision questions (answers in back of book).

In summary this is a perfect revision guide for all students, splitting topics into smaller, manageable sections, with material that sets out key language, theory and how to tackle a question.

GCSE English Text Guide - A Christmas Carol
GCSE English Text Guide - A Christmas Carol

Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A must have for all secondary school students, 4 Aug. 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This series of GCSE English - The Text Guide books is a great revision resource, whether writing an essay or revising for an exam these books are full of useful hints, tips and thought provokers to ensure complete and detailled analysis of the text is achieved.

The guides have been republished and edited to ensure compliance with the new exams, planned to be in place from 2017. The guides introduce each text to the student, aswell as the author, giving key messages. There is background information about the texts, looking at location, main characters and important themes of the time.
A plot summary is broken down into chapters, recapping for readers to ensure they get all key points. There are many themes analysed, giving lots of evidence and inspiration for essays.

Books contain practice questions for the text, in the form of both quick and in depth questions and give exam style question examples to encourage further analysis.

THere is a useful section on exam preparation: giving ideas on exam requirements; how to prepare for an exam; how to analyse questions and then plan the answer; along with how to write introductions and conclusions. There is also a worked exam question answer which demonstrates exactly what is required.

The book finishes with a brilliant cartoon, comic strip summary of the book which summarise the main themes brilliantly.

I would recommend these books as great resources for Secondary School students, both key stage 3 and GCSE, as ideal assistants while reading and analysing set texts. They give students a basic understanding of the texts, which could be read before reading the full novel, to give an overview of the book, and then can be returned to when looking at the themes and key points picked up during reading.

I have a number of the books in this series ready for when my children need assistance with set texts and also know where they are housed in the local library for those titles i haven't managed to collect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic invention, recommend to all, 4 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Techbed itself is a simple product design but it works so well. I was surprised when it arrived at how light the product is. I think I was expecting a heavy Techbed but it is so light. I assume it is filled with bean bag filling or something similar. It fits a range of size hand held devices - I have used it for my kindle paperwhite, samsung tablet and also samsung mobile phone and they all work perfectly. Fantastic invention, recommend to all.

5.0 out of 5 stars I love this camera - I am not the photographer in ..., 27 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I love this camera - I am not the photographer in my family, that is my husbands job, but with this camera I managed to capture some great shots which will soon be covering our walls. It is easy to set up and then you are away, point, zoom and click to great photos.
There are many additional features which my husband has played with and got even better pictures and I think that I will be fighting him for the right to take permanent records of our memories of the future.
Great family camera, which can be used for happy snaps but equally used to take scenic professional photographs.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is a fantastic product = it looks expensive, 27 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This is a fantastic product = it looks expensive, both on the shelf and on your nails! I tried it on both bare nails and also as a top coat on top of another colour and I found both looks looked fantastic! It is a high sparkle polish which is great on dark or light colours, Another reviewer compared the look to one of being attacked with a tippex brush but I don't agree.
The polish is easy to apply with the included brush and it dries quickly and is a tough coat.

4.0 out of 5 stars It had four options and I found them easy to interchange, 27 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I am not a 'girly girl' when it comes to beauty. I don't spend hours and £s in beauty salons getting myself waxed, plucked and defuzzed so when I saw this product I thought it would be something that I could use to get a salon experience in my own home. This is the second epilator I have tried, I found the first one a little too complicated to use but this one did seem to be easier. It had four options and I found them easy to interchange. It was comfortable to hold and easy to operate, although I did have to go over areas a couple of times to get the desired result however it may have been my 'newness' in this technique which could of been at fault.
I would recommend this as a great first model for epilating and it has the name of Braun behind it which I recommend as a market leader.

2.0 out of 5 stars I hate to say this but I didn't enjoy this book, 27 July 2015
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I hate to say this but I didn't enjoy this book. It was well written but I just didn't enjoy the content. The author is one half of the duo who wrote the highly acclaimed The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society and that is what drew me towards the book however I was disappointed.
