Why is this book so popular?, 21 Sept. 2012
At first shocked and titillated by the explicit sex scenes I soon got bored of them, especially as they became less shocking and more "tame" as the trilogy progresses. So, skipping the sex, I read it for the story which was only gripping in places and not very cleverly put together. Very fed up with the repetitive phrases used-"he pressed his lips into a thin angry line", "his breath hitched","my inner goddess smirked","holy cow". All ok now and again but heavily overused. Chick lit. Poor. Why is it so popular?
