Good but not THAT good., 7 Feb. 2007
I've read "Land of the Living" and I found that it was a more successful novel than "Beneath the Skin. I found the women victims to be irritating and dull, at the end I was thinking if Nadia is so stupid she deserves to die! This novel didn't enthrall me like the other novel did. I found it hard to commit reading it and it failed to thrill me. The plot is weak and in the beginning it reads like 2 short stories. I thought that there could have been more about what the killer was thinking and less drama from the women. And why did Nadia dislike Stadler? I have pre-ordered of Nicci French's novels and hope they will be more interesting than this one has been.
