5.0 out of 5 stars Connects to some but not to all, 28 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Before buying this i was stuck with connecting my keyboard to my tablet using a long wire connector, which was about 100mm long and flopped about like a dead chickens head. this led to it snagging on things as i transported my tablet about.
So I decided to go for this type of connector which would then eliminate the flopping about. but as i knew that some connectors did not work on some tablets i had a choice as to whether i could risk losing the cost of this one if it did not work, which for 40p, with free delivery, i thought my bank account could take a hit of this vast amount.
As it came from Hong Kong i was not expecting it to be here over night, and it wasn't, in fact it took a couple of weeks to get here, but, A, it arrived a week before the due date and B, it was free delivery, so i can't complain.
Anyway. when i plugged it in and connected my keyboard to tablet i waited with baited breath and, fortunately, a second or two later, the two devices became as one.
since then i have had no trouble with it at all, speed, constant connection, and manages to keep the wires in order, which means less snagging.
in all, for 40p, or even for a pound, it's well worth taking the risk of whether this will work with your tablet or not.

5.0 out of 5 stars who says you can't bend light....??, 17 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a cracking little torch for those little jobs that are in the dark.
the light itself is bright but doesn't cover a wide area, although it does light up enough to see what you're doing but don't think you can use it if you want to go out searching for your lost pet budgie.
The magnetic end, both front and back, are genius, making picking up such things as screws, nails and tacks so simple, and with the extendable section at the front, pulling out with ease, i find it very useful when i've dropped something down the most inaccessible areas.
the magnet on the rear is quite strong, strong enough to attach itself to a metal panel but no that strong that it won't come off with a bit of a tug, although don't try and hang anything off it as it will just fall off.
the 'watch' batteries seem to be ever lasting as i am still on the original ones after nearly a year of use, (not constant use but more or less on a daily basis).

In all, a good light for close jobs and a diamond when it comes to finding lost nails.
Well worth the money in my books and worth having in your tools box.

5.0 out of 5 stars more room for your memory, 17 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What can i say about this..?
It offers plenty of room for storing lots of things on and slots easily into the tablet that i bought this for.
it can be used in other devices as well as tablets of course, such as mobile phones and what ever else micro SD cards fit into but i use this for the tablet and have no issues with it at all.
good price, good space and works in most things.

5.0 out of 5 stars so many tools in my pocket, 17 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I've found this to be one useful little tool.
the pliers can handle a lot of small jobs, although i wouldn't use them to undo a rusted bolt.
All the tools are useful, apart from the nail file as i have no nails really, bu the blades, saw, opener and drivers all do what they are supposed to do.
It is pretty strong too, considering that it only cost a few quid, and all the tools can take a fair bit of pressure.

It folds up into itself, (butterfly type) so that there are no sharp edges sticking into me when it's in my pocket and it opens up with ease.

in all, worth having for those quick little jobs.

4.0 out of 5 stars helps stop those finger prints on your tablet screen, 17 Dec. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Connects to my 'budget' tablet without any trouble at all and the keys are read more or less when pressed, (although they can become sluggish on longer written projects on certain apps).

The material is not leather but it looks fine and feels nice.

The USB connector is a full size one which is a nuisance when the Tablet is in place as it has no where to sit when the case is closed, so it has to flop around outside the case, which makes it a little on the easy side to get snagged on something, (* this is the reason for the loss of a star).
my tablet needs a micro USB connector so i needed an adapter to connect this up and the ones that came with this were not recognised by my tablet, although another tablet i tried did recognise the adapters so it is not the adapter that is broken. luckily, i can use the adapter that came with the tablet which works perfectly well.

The stand is useful for when this is sat on a table but not useful when it is on your lap as it falls right through the gap between the knees.
Also, it could do with a strap or something to stop it opening fully, holding it at a 90 degree angle or thereabouts.

but for the price, if you want to make your tablet seem more like a laptop, then you can't really go wrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars A tablet that is not bad to swallow, 10 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a review more about the delivery and a brief about the initial product itself. I will update in a few weeks once I've given the product a good going over.
I ordered this tablet on Friday, two hours later it was dispatched from suppliers, now that was quick. E-mails sent to let me know what was happening and what stage the delivery was at.
It arrived at my house on Monday afternoon after an E-mail gave me an estimated time of delivery, which was spot on really.

It came well packaged inside a box, inside a bag, inside a PDP bag. The 2 leads, mini USB on each, USB male on one and female on the other, and earphones were in a box underneath the tablet only the charger lead was outside the box as it was too thick to fit into the box, so this was in the bag... there's also a manual which is in Chinese, (or something like that) making the user manual a complete waste of time unless you either speak Chinese or are very friendly with your local takeaway.

The battery was fully charged on delivery so it gave me a chance to give it a quick test run before fully charging it at home.
The initial set up was straight forwards, making it easier if you are used to any form of android device, with the touch screen being very responsive indeed, sliding along with ease, opening new `pages' in an instant.
The first thing I did was connect to my router, which took all of 30 seconds once I'd input my passwords. Then it was a matter of a quick test to see how good the internet managed... remember, this is an initial use review... the speeds was good, even though I was a good 10 metres from the router, and never dropped once in the 30 minutes that I was browsing.
It takes less than a second for the screen to rotate when you turn the tablet, which isn't bad at all.

The screen is as clear as day, so to speak, making viewing pictures and videos nice and easy, without the need to squint. The speaker, which may look small but gives out some noise without crackles and thumps, making music listening a nice treat.
There are a few `inbuilt' HD images which help show off the clarity of the screen.

The two cameras, front and back, with a touch of the screen turning from one to the other, (do beware as when I flicked from the rear camera to the front camera I frightened myself when my face suddenly appeared on the screen...)

In all, I have to say...
Great delivery speed making me very comfortable in using Tabtronic again, and DPD delivery company if needs be.
The tablet itself, on initial use, is well worth the money I paid for it and, if I didn't know better, can be easily mistaken for a much more expensive product.

I will be giving this more of a test run over the next few weeks and I am hoping that it will not let me down...

To be continued....

bit of an update, as promised, sort of.

Here's may verdict in a few words as this review is getting a bit long now...

Pros...

The cameras are nice and clear, with the panoramic adding a little class, being simple to use, even telling you when you're moving the camera too fast.

The wireless manages to stay connected even when I'm at the other end of the house.

The screen is crystal clear and the response is fast, almost as fast as the more expensive tablets, (mentioning no names).

Downloading and installing apps is done in an instant, (depending on internet speeds as the like)

The in built security is great for keeping prying eyes out of your system.

There's plenty of apps to download so this can be set up exactly as you want it.

Cons...

It does seem to take an eternity to `boot up'.

Most importantly, the battery does seem to run down a bit fast, but a few changes in the settings helps out there, such as screen brightness, turning off apps you're not using, etc.

It's not so good for gamers as it can `drag' a lot on certain games, luckily I'm not a gamer so that's fine, but if you are then this is not for you.

Someone else, (bear claw), mentioned the `LCD pressure mark' which appears when the central area on the rear of the unit is pressed. This happens on mine so I'm guessing that it happens on a few, maybe even all of them.
This is not too much of a nuisance and once I got used to holding it by the edges it was fine.

In all, if you're on a budget, like 99% of the UK, or simply starting out in the android tablet world, then this low priced tablet won't let you down.

3.0 out of 5 stars It may take the weight but it wobbles a bit..., 7 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this as the garden vac i bought didn't have a wheel on the front so that i had to 'carry' this around the garden in order to suck or blow. (why Flymo didn't add a wheel on the front of the vac i don't know, maybe to force people to buy the wheel maybe?).
Anyway.
This wheel does take the weight of the vac so that you don't have to 'carry' it around the garden anymore, which is a good point, and it clips onto the front of the vac, where the nozzle is, which again is nice and easy to fix into place.

But it does have a bad points too.
Although it clips easily into position it doesn't sit firmly in place and moves when you're rolling the vac around the garden. this has scratched the sides of the orange vac and from the looks of it i can see the clips on the wheel bracket eventually snapping as time goes on.
I have contemplated either riveting the side arms or maybe using small bolts to firmly attach it to the sides before the clips snap off????

it's not bad for less than a tenner but it's a bit of a bad design for the garden vac it is designed for. the vac should have some for of grooves on the sides which would then stop this wheel bracket sliding around everywhere.

5.0 out of 5 stars just the thing to speed up my PC... but do beware, 4 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this ram for a laptop after i realised that the RAM i had in the house would not fit that particular laptop.
simply, the slit in the board between the copper connectors was in a totally different place, so do check that this is the right one that you need before buying it.
i recommend opening your PC, taking a note of the RAM details, then inputting the exact details to find the right RAM.
if this one comes up then grab it as for less than a tenner it has sped up my windows 7 to a good speed.
it slotted in like a dream, but that depends on the laptop your working on

What more can i say about this RAM?
If it's the right one for your laptop then get it quick, you can't go wrong, and it has a name you can trust.

4.0 out of 5 stars May not be Sony but just as good, 3 Aug. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Bought this as i only had one duel controller and needed a second for a few games to play on multi player.
it arrived in a bag in a box and was well protected.
plugged it in and away i went.
the little square, triangle etc look nothing like the original controller but who looks at those whilst playing a game, with me i know where they are by shear memory.
the joysticks and buttons do make a clicking noise but it's not loud enough to put off the player.
it feels just like the original, comfortable and easy to use.
I have dropped a star as the wire isn't that long so who ever is using this controlled has to be closer to the PS2 to play... but i do intend to invest in an extension lead to rectify this matter.

in all, well worth the few quid to get a second duel controller to play some games. it's just like and original and you really wouldn't be able to tell the difference when you're playing a game...only if you look at the controller.

4.0 out of 5 stars No longer trapped by those dreaded wires, 10 July 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I had a desk top which had been sat in an upstairs room for a while, waiting for me to drill holes through the many walls in the house that separated the desktop from the router, just so that i could get an internet connection. Luckily, when browsing on here, i came across this wireless dongle at a price i though would be worth giving it a go, even though it had a few negative reviews.
when it arrived, via royal mail, which slowed the delivery up a bit, i quickly installed it, using the mini cd that came with it. i was given a choice of just installing the drivers or the extra bits as well, i chose the drives only, and within minutes i was up and running, back on line without the many holes in the walls of my house.
the signal isn't the greatest, and, even though i wasn't expecting the 150mbps due to the fact that my router is a b/g and not an `n`, with the n being where the 150mbps come in as it is the fastest.
But I sometimes get up to 54mbps which is good enough for what I need for the desk top, basically updating and simple browsing, although it does have a tendency to slow down, even struggle sometimes to actually connect, taking a bit of time to find the router itself, even though it is down the stairs, but once connected, it gets the job done.
In all, £6.00 to get a PC on the internet is good value for money and has saved a lot of drilling.
Just remember, don't expect the 150mbps if you're not using an `n' router.
