3.0 out of 5 stars Versatile Dual-Purpose T-Bag, 16 Sept. 2011
Bag, sorry, Pannier, has turned out very handy as you can detach the frame and use the bag for carry-on luggage on a plane, etc.
It has a detachable shoulder strap, a change/keys pocket with cinch, gloves/hat/phone mesh pockets to hold all your odds-n-ends while going through scanner at airport!
( And some of my ends are v.odd 8-)
And a waterproof pocket outside for paper tickets, bit of money, i suppose?
Last but not least, an inside pocket with a hi-viz bag cover inside. Good detail.
So better value than I initially thought, considering the extra £[] required for frame/block, due to the versatile, dual-purpose nature of the bag.
edit- It does hold a bike helmet in the biggest mesh pocket after all. so if the bag cover was stitched into an external, rear?, pocket, then that would make a good product (even) great(er).

First heard Ultra when i took my daughter to a teenie's concert. Despite having to wear cotton wool in my ears, because of the volume! I remember Ultra's set, and this is a great, thoughtful, example. So forget the labels and Enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Trip up to the Rigi - Real Swiss, 6 Mar. 2011
Perfect mix of Yodel Vocals, Clarinet? Accordian, etc for your Swiss trip home video. Pity that copyright issues probably prevent use of it on Youtube vids. Never mind, just enjoy!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Roxette track, 6 Mar. 2011
This review is from: The Look (MP3 Download)
Hyper with energy and positive vibes, perfect melding of two voices, macho and micha (is that a word?), delivering punchy lead vocals with amazingly intense backing, equal parts jangly and percussive.
Ideal for your Dance, Workout, Wake me up, playlists, recorded LOUD!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Herd - 'Love At First Sight' - 80's Obscure Hits and Bands, 20 Nov. 2010
This review is from: Love At First Sight (MP3 Download)
It may have been the name, but it's a pity this band never found the magic again. Seems to have been their one and only hit. I listened to all the other MP3's from them, but unfortunately never found another track i would actually pay for.
As i said, a pity, but there you go, never mind, we can enjoy the one great song they did make.
I got this on vinyl back then and will compare it with the mp3 version to see if it loses anthing in the conversion. The acoustics on this are important as there's a lot of haunting acoustic guitar and breathy singing to get over.

4.0 out of 5 stars The La's - 'There She Goes' - the Hollies reborn?, 20 Nov. 2010
This review is from: There She Goes (MP3 Download)
I've been meaning to get this great song for a long time, and the MP3 singles section is a great place to pick up hits like this.
Who are the LA's? No idea. Do they live in LA? Don't have a clue.
And it doesn't matter, as long as they make records like the Hollies reborn we don't care. Please keep it up guys, ever thought of re-making 'King Midas in Revese'? Oops, maybe not, Wiki says this is from 1980's and the band will be best 'remembered' for it, pity.

4.0 out of 5 stars Helena Marie - 'Love the Way You Lie' - Better than original?, 19 Nov. 2010
I found this by chance on Amazon MP3 section while looking for a copy from which I could keep Rhiannas great vocal while leaving Eminem on the cutting room floor.
Only to find someone, err, some-two, had done a better version already, and kept the whole song in to boot. Although the lyrics sound different, somehow, they fit fine.
Best wishes to Helena and Maria, can't wait to find out what song they take on next. Several other songs where the 'featured' singer gets a raw deal, fill in your wishlist here..Airplanes..Written in the Stars, etc.
The acoustic treatment suits this version, and their voices harmonise beautifully, i'm a fan of close harmonies ever since the Everly Bros!
Thankyou for saving this song Helena and Maria.

4.0 out of 5 stars Secondhand Serenade - 'Your Call' - poignant, 19 Nov. 2010
This review is from: Your Call (MP3 Download)
Quite bittersweet and wistful, a poignant song. You get a sense of wishful thinking from his singing. Of love gone wrong, with a big helping of 'if only'. I only got the single as I thought a whole album in this style would bring the mood down.

The intensity with which he sings of 'deepest hopes' and repeated references to being 'tired', 'alone' and 'solitary' evoke an impression of someone on the desperate side of passionate.
Apparently thought of as being quite 'emo' music, judging by the videos it's attached to on Youtube, which is where I first saw/heard it. Although at first listening seems very romantic, leaves one feeling a little blue by the end, a bit like life, eh? Still 4 stars.

The multi-tracking harmonies that are his trademark, maybe a tad overdone, a couple of layers less might have kept it more 'acoustic'.
But i suppose the track needed a crescendo to finish on.
