Its just great to have them back together. Harlan Coben could have written about them going to the supermarket and discussing the price of toilet paper and i would still have loved it...hopefully more to come.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another awesome example of the changing face of broadcasting....., 12 Mar. 2016

This review is from: Bosch - Season 2 (Amazon Video)
Difficult to add to what has already been written in all honesty. I have read Connelly`s Bosch since day one and once again Amazon has come up trumps. This series and Ripper Street , alone , makes Prime worth every penny and continues the trend of our viewing habits and traditional methods of watching programmes on tv disappearing completely. Gone is the idea that only terrestrial broadcasters are the only ones capable of making top quality programmes. Simply outstanding drama production.

5.0 out of 5 stars Surely some of the best flying scenes ever shot, 1 Feb. 2016

Outstanding visuals. Surely some of the best flying scenes ever shot. One scene in particular is simply extraordinary, when one of our heroe's colleagues travels in the plane with him, i won't spoil it but, the imagery is simply superb. Apart from the glorious scenery and atmosphere created, there are times when watching the film, well personally, i felt quite queasy, as you are transported into the navigators seat...simply brilliant. And NO CGI !

This is a gem. A truly fascinating and compelling read. I have learnt so much from the book. Names i had heard of but never really knew the stories behind them. Beautifully written. I cannot wait for Mr. Bryson to describe another summer to remember. I think another secret behind the enjoyment is that we all look back to a golden summer from our youth. Brilliant

An extraordinary book. You are immediately immersed into the world of Mark. An unbelievable situation made believable. Paced beautifully, witty, not mushy in any way. A terrific read and will make a wonderful film.

Just terrific fun plain and simple. Great characterization , plenty of action, enjoyable and solid story. Sit back with a cup of coffee, put the brain in neutral and take Puller to your heart. Can't wait for the next one.

5.0 out of 5 stars ripper street is simply a master class in how great drama is made, 17 Nov. 2014
I was along with thousands of others so surprised and disappointed when the BBC decided to cancel this extraordinary series. Quite simple to review series three by saying a huge thank you to Amazon prime . Hard to believe that the writing, acting , directing etc could improve but as the story develops New heights are being reached. Remarkable.

How can you not give this five stars. This man is a true hero. A man just doing his job and is placed in an invidious situation. You cannot help wonder how you would react in the same position. I am pretty certain I would struggle . I cannot deal with the day without my cup of coffee in the morning. He is selfless, lacking in ego, caring, a human being one can only aspire to be. This is inspiring stuff. And provides a sense of perspective as I set off to face the traffic on the journey to work. I will make sure I hug the missus and not curse the teenager for still being in bed.

3.0 out of 5 stars A not to be forgotten book, 16 Aug. 2014

A true gem of a story. A sense of 'when Harry met Sally' with a will they won't they question hovering throughout. Terrific lead character description. I would want to go for a pint with him. And a really lovely collection of support characters and off shoot stories. At times you just cannot help but feel that an opportunity to 're boot the memory and start again would be fantastic . However the beauty of the book is that you realise just how important it is to appreciate what you already have and cherish each moment. Except of course the moments the bills arrive and yet another reality tv show starts.

Another refreshing, tender and thoughtful book from this extremely talented author. It is just a magical read. it is such a gift for a writer to be able to let the reader feel such emotion and empathy with the characters. I cannot wait for the next book.
