Quite simply a masterpiece. Very mysteriously relatively unknown. I first encounted "Be Bop Deluxe" on Annie Nightingales evening programme on Radio 1 in the 70's-she played " Maid in Heaven" a few times-enough for me to get the Album Futurama. Expecting to find a one-hit wonder amongst a load of fillers, instead I found myself confronted by sustained brilliance throughout both sides ( this was the vinyl era ). Sorry chaps, but this is much better than "Sunburst Finish" and in my view ranks highly in the top 10 Rock Albums ever produced.

This film brilliantly captures the spirit of the (British) mid 1970s. It charts the return of the Prodrock band "Strange Fruit" with a subplot involving the unknown fate of the missing Peter Greenesque former leader. Superbly acted, scripted and produced, extraordinarily it includes some brilliant in-period new music. Nostalgic, poignant, hilarious. Hitch a ride back to the 70s. Don't miss this astonishing film.
