Impression Milton Keynes: 1
Impression Milton Keynes: 1
by Victoria J. K. Lamburn
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Is this book MK? it's more than that it is brilliant!!, 8 Feb. 2012
This book is beautiful in every sense. The photography is stunning and offers depth of not just the 'City of Milton Keynes' but the inhabitants as well.

If your opinion of MK is just roundabouts and concrete cows, then you are doing yourself and Milton Keynes a great disservice, photos of the wonderful parks and woodlands dispell this urban myth.

I get the impression that this have been a real labour of love by Victoria JK Lambourne, and I am grateful that she has been able to share that love.

There is only one thing better than this book on Milton Keynes, and that is being there.

4.0 out of 5 stars At Last!, 3 Jan. 2011
I can't tell you how overjoyed I was when I heard about this release, a fitting tribute to the great man who we lost in 2010.

I have been waiting decades for CD releases of both 5/9/88 and 13/9/88 and at last they are here.

I haven't ploughed through the whole box yet, but my only minor gripe when listening to 13/9/88 is that the sound seems to have been taken direct from the LP rather than from the original masters, as there seems to be crackles and pops in places.

A shame, but you can't have everything, you know you can't you really can't!

5.0 out of 5 stars I'm in Heaven!, 31 Aug. 2001
From the moment this book arrived through the post, I found myself totally absorbed, and within the week had read its entire contents. Apart from this book being very well written by two authors who know their "Stuff",it also has plenty of information and pictures from both infront of the camera and from behind the scenes. The book gives you an insight into each Actress that has graced our screens as an Angel, not only their professional careers but also the book touches on their private lives, aswell as how they became cast, and also what other acting work they have done since. Other contents includes fairly detailed guides to the episodes, swimwear and merchandise. It is essential reading for any one who loves "Charlie's Angels" the series, but this book would also appeal to anyone interested in reading about a piece of Television History.

5.0 out of 5 stars Forbidden Love, 31 Aug. 2001
This is a beautifully crafted tale that will not only captivate and entertain you, it will also pull at your heart strings, from the begining to the end. The story is set before and during ,the Second World War, and follows the lives of two people with different lives, loyalties and responsibilities, who meet and through the devistation and pain of the onset of War they are drawn together. They embark in a relationship which not only proves to be an undying love, but one that seems also forbidden, and only the War can decide it's outcome. A truely moving story, ideal for any fan of Danielle Steels work,or anyone who just loves a good Romance against all odds. Cheryl Ladd and Lee Horsley are Perfect, and lead a good strong cast. Certainly a Production to watch again and again.
