This is a very strong contender for best film of 2014. Totally hypnotic film and performance by Scarlett Johansson

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!, 14 Nov. 2014
I have lost count of how many times I've watched this movie and it never gets old. Each time I watch it I pick up something that I missed before. Stunning performance from Di Caprio and the score from Zimmer is sensational especially the track "Time". One of my all time favourite films

One of my favourite sci-fi movies. Sam Rockwell delivers an astonishing performance. The score by Clint Mansell is also fabulous. A great debut from director Duncan Jones. Love it

2.0 out of 5 stars Classic???? You kidding me?, 14 Nov. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I recently went to the cinema to see Christopher Nolan's new film Interstellar which I thought was fantastic. Afterwards, I heard some people saying that they could see the influence Kubrick had on Nolan with 2001: A Space Odyssey. So I decided to watch the Kubrick movie and I must say I was less than thrilled with it. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy a slow movie but this was far too slow and not a lot going on. I really struggled to keep myself awake during this movie. Then at the end of the movie I was in fits of laughter and completely shocked to see a huge baby floating in a bubble. I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. A lot of fellow reviewers have said that the film needs several viewings to get the message. I honestly don't think I could sit through that again. This may have been awesome at the time of it's release but now it's laughable. I wouldn't make my worst enemy sit through this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Astonishing!!!, 12 Nov. 2014
I thought that this movie was astonishing. Incredibly ambitious vision by Nolan. I loved every second from the first minute right to the last. I'm not a parent yet but the idea of missing you kids grow up would be my worst fear. I felt like I was with Coop as he sat watching the video messages from home. It has been said by many that the final act is a little far fetched but in fairness, this is a movie and it's for entertainment purposes. I for one loved the final act. I have no doubt this is my favourite movie this year and probably over the last few years. Almost 3 hours flew by.

2.0 out of 5 stars GOOD FOR 1982 - WATCHING IT NOW IT'S GARBAGE, 13 Sept. 2013
Having watched the two new J.J Abrams movies then going back to watch the original movies I can honestly say that the older movies are a shambles. The Wrath Of Khan is 2 out of 5 for me. The acting is shocking from all except Spock & Bones. This 1982 Khan is no match for 2013 Khan. Cumberbatch is fifty times the actor Montalban is. Khan is supposed to be super intelligent yet 1982 Khan is as bright as a dark night. It was embarrassing watching this. A lot of people tell me that this is the best Trek movie. I say those people are insane. Not a patch on J.J Abrams films, they've got actual actors in them.

5.0 out of 5 stars back to their best, 4 Oct. 2010

Forget the review from the moron below. I don't normally write online reviews but had to considering this other reviewer is a moron and has not done this new album any justice whatsoever. he/she thinks chase this light was good. this is JEW back to their best after what was a really bad last album (chase this light). this album is quite similar to Futures in my opinion. i've listened to this on repeat several times now and i love this album. there are 12 tracks on this cd and 9 of them i totally adore. the other 3 are okay too. if i had to pick my favs i would say....coffee & cigarettes, evidence & cut. THEY ARE BACK TO THEIR BEST

I LOVE THIS ALBUM. THERE IS NO BAD TRACK ON IT. THE ALBUM LASTS FOR ABOUT 45 MINUTES BUT IS SEEMS TO BE OVER SO QUICKLY (THE SIGN OF A QUALITY RECORD). I OWN ALL THEIR ALBUMS AND I BELIEVE THAT THIS IS THEIR BEST YET.
A MUST BUY. EVERY TRACK IS A MELODIC ANTHEM WITH HUGE CHORUSES.

5.0 out of 5 stars NOT LIKE NICKELBACK, 13 Jun. 2009

THIS IS AN AWESOME ALBUM. I WISH PEOPLE WOULD STOP SAYING THAT SHINEDOWN ARE LIKE NICKELBACK. NICKELBACK SUCK SO BAD WHILE SHINEDOWN TOTALLY ROCK. BRENT SMITH IS SOOOOOOOOO MUCH BETTER AS A SINGER THAN KROEGER. I WOULD PUT SHINEDOWN BESIDE ALTER BRIDGE AND SEETHER. YOU MUST CHECK OUT THE SONG "SON OF SAM". INFACT, JUST CHECK THEM ALL OUT. MUST BUY
