3.0 out of 5 stars Doh! It;s punk, 21 Feb. 2004
Nice sleeve and associated artwork. Punk by numbers on the music. Commendably done - all the credentials are there by assumption - looks like, sounds like........... a Pistols copycat band?
If you are looking for undiscovered talent to rank alongside Pistols, Damned, Clash etc - fine, these guys do it. Not at all bad, but struggled to find anything that rose above a pretty high bar - with Tubes, Spizz, Rezillos et all, why search out competent but undistinguished compares?

5.0 out of 5 stars Back to the future, 21 Feb. 2004
This review is from: The Modern Dance (Audio CD)
I have the vinyl - was delighted to see this on CD. If you've ever wondered where Trent (NiN) gets ideas and inspiration - this must be a part of it. Music that howls, scowls, prowls - a parent to countless wild orphans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simple and brilliant, 21 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Sk1 (Audio CD)
The range of styles, the wee surprises and delightful "wows" make this an essential purchase. Categorisation is pointless - your feet tap, your lips smile - rock, mock and pleasant shock. Everything is here - will you like it? What's not to like? It's not mainstream but it's not extreme - Martini music, anywhere, anytime for anyone. A self-effacing wee genius.

5.0 out of 5 stars Motivational Edutainment at it's best, 22 Mar. 2003
This review is from: Over the Top (Audio Cassette)
Zig is an aquired taste with his evangelical, deep-south style and accent. Worth the effort. Critics may point to repetition over his series of tapes - but I don't mind that at all - it's like linking the subjects into a larger picture. Educational, motivational entertainment. The guy's a justified legend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Research based - not just opinion, 22 Mar. 2003
Research based approach but easy to digest and a delight to find "common-sense" being exposed. Provoking and useful. Great.

1.0 out of 5 stars Pocket sized but even thinner on content., 14 Feb. 2002
This is a whistlestop tour of the subject. I could forgive that if the plethora of fads theories and views had been condensed into a pocket reference book. But they ain't - there is just as much generalisation in this as in any big thick book. Great idea, but delivery fails the expectation.
