2.0 out of 5 stars Not a keeper., 12 May 2015

Just a bit too flimsy to be much use as a stand. The weak point is the swivel.

Wonderful photos and just enough description and commentary. Brilliant souvenir but I was disappointed that no sooner than I had bought it as a Christmas present the price was slashed in the sale.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sooo middle class, 2 Jan. 2013

This review is from: Comfort and Joy (Paperback)
The views expressed in this book are so prejudice, ageist and middle class. it drove me mad but I had to plough on because we had chosen it as our Christmas Book Club choice. At least it will provoke some lively discussion but honestly the attitude to Pat are beyond.

1.0 out of 5 stars Too much detail and not enough action., 30 Nov. 2011
This book was chosen for our local book club. Its far too long to tell a predictable ending and packed with long passages where the characters discuss historical infomation. I think the author was indulging her own fantasy. Hope she enjoyed it because I was bored rigid.

3.0 out of 5 stars Makes you think, 1 July 2010
This book makes you think but at times turns into a left wing political speech. The foot notes are as good as the text and lead you to allsorts of other sources.
Perhas better value as a paperback.
