This book is easily one of the most readable books I have had the pleasure of reading. Not only is it very amusing and unputdownable, it gives the reader a first class insight of historical events almost to the present day in an easy, laid back manner.

This review is from: Loyalty (Kindle Edition)
I found this book to be suprisingly interesting. Not that the subject could ever be described as not interesting in any way, but the manner in which it was told and presented. It asked questions that rarely get answered about Richard, his bravery, loyalty, his gift for modern legislation, his subjects respect, and gives a well rounded, easily understandable explanation of the conditions he had to try to overcome to be as good a king as he could be, given that many did not want him to upset the staus quo. Once started I could not put it down, with conspiracy and treachery building throughout the book. Great value!

This is the sort of book to enjoy on a trip, or passing time in the garden. Light, keeps moving along at a nice pace, and you do not lose the drift after putting it down for an hour or two.

As per the heading, reading this book was like reading a report, and sadly it appeared that the report was made just before the lunch break.

3.0 out of 5 stars Informative, 15 Dec. 2012

A very detailed informative book, although heavily weighed towards the authors personal preferences on the subject. If it had been the first such book I had read on the subject, I might have rated it higher.

I found the book informative, but not interesting given the subject. It seemed to me that the book was cobbled together using various historical texts and very little atmosphere.
