5.0 out of 5 stars Great set, professional looking and for less than 50p per brush, amazing value too, 2 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Considering the price, these are fantastic brushes. I must admit though I haven't used the majority of them yet but the few I have used are great and do exactly what you want from a brush. They feel soft on the skin, apply and blend make-up well and (so-far) haven't shed any hairs either. Considering this whole set cost less than a lot of single brushes, this set certainly is great value. Whether you are a beginner or more advanced, this set has practically every brush you could need. Admittedly there isn't a specific 'blending' brush but I have used one of the brushes for blending and that worked.
Overall this set is amazing value and great quality. You would be hard pressed to buy any of these brushes for the price - less than 50p each. They don't look or feel cheap and do exactly what you would expect.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lovely range of colours, high quality and highly recommended, 2 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The colours are beautiful and certainly feel top-quality too. The palette itself feels sturdy and has decent sized mirror. It also comes with a 'sponge' applicator although I doubt I will use this as I prefer brushes. The shadows themselves are extremely pigmented and last well. They go on and blend well too. The majority in this palette have a nice sheen and 1-2 Matte colours. Great for doing a variety of looks - particularly the smoky-eye.
I do think the size of these are a little misleading, its a bit smaller than I originally thought and the way it looks on the website, but for the money, the quality and variety of colours, its excellent. Highly Recommended

5.0 out of 5 stars The 2013 Game of the Year - with better graphics, frame rate and all the DLC included..., 20 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The best game of the year 2013 has been remastered for the PS4. Made by arguably the best developers of games - Naughty Dog and their 4th Game of the Year in successive releases (Uncharted 1-3 also won GotY awards). The Remastered version features improved graphics and rendering upgrades, including increased draw distance, an upgraded combat mechanic and higher frame rate. Further additions include advanced audio options, an audio commentary, and a Photo Mode. It includes the previously released downloadable content, including Left Behind and some multiplayer maps. According to an interview, the development team aimed at creating a "true" remaster, maintaining the "same core experience" and not changing any large story or gameplay elements so if you owned the PS3 version its essentially the same but with a few visual enhancements.
I can't comment on the MP as its not something I played. The campaign however is great. I am sure that if you are reading this, you know the basic premise so I won't repeat that. I will say though that having played this on the PS3, the PS4 version is the definitive version. Visually stunning (although I do think some other PS4 games are better looking as they were created specifically for that generation) and plays very smoothly too. The journey through it will take you on through emotional highs as well as lows and its probably the best PS4 exclusive available at the time of writing.
Highly Recommended!

4.0 out of 5 stars A good controller but could be better built and have a longer battery life to improve it., 20 Jan. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As far as Sony controllers go, the DS4 is much more advanced and more comfortable to use than any of its predecessors. Whilst it still retains the same basic layout and shape, the changes made predominantly to the grip area and triggers have increased its comfort - at least for me.
I don't know if its as well built as the DS3 for example as I think they have used a few cheaper materials/parts to cut costs down to be able to include the touch-pad, lightbar and speaker and not have to charge a LOT more. Battery life is also very poor too (even if you turn off the lightbar and speaker) and my particular controller (Gold) doesn't come with a charging cable - although I still have mine supplied with my console.
Unfortunately its an essential peripheral and I wouldn't have bought this had my original controller not broken - the left thumb-stick stopped working properly - it became stuck down meaning I couldn't 'click' it - vital for games that use this to 'run'. I had heard about the rubber wearing on the top of the thumbsticks (I used covers) but the Gold controller looks to have a different type of thumbstick without the rubber - so I am hoping that the problems with my original controller are also addressed.
As I said, its an essential peripheral for the PS4 and so you are obviously going to need at least 1. It is a lot more comfortable to use for extended gaming sessions thanks to a few design changes over the DS3 but still retains the same layout. Its pointless to recommend it or not because of you have a PS4 you are going to have to have it anyway!

Batman Arkham Knight - Limited Edition (Xbox One)

4.0 out of 5 stars Best game to be the 'Batman' though not perfect as a game., 11 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The game itself is great overall. It is let down a bit by the inclusion of the Batmobile as its a very 1 dimensional combat vehicle and its used far too often - maybe to justify its inclusion. It can still be great fun just driving around the expansive and very gothic Gotham. In terms of 'being the Batman', this is by far the best in the series. Its Story maybe isn't as 'focussed' as Arkham Asylums' but that is probably a consequence of being far more open world. The Voice cast give a great performance - and its the original voice cast and not those from 'Origins' with one particular stand-out - no prizes for guessing but no spoilers either. Gotham itself is also a beautifully dark place. Its so much larger than Arkham City with a lot of Easter Eggs and some interesting effects happening too - again no spoilers.
Batman himself has his usually array of gadgets and this of course leads to some fantastic combat. Its multi dimensional because of the array of gadgets and of course the different approaches you can use - from Stealth to full on attack, from above and often from below too. Certain Side quests have you teaming up to fight alongside another of Batman's friends (AI not co-op) which allows you to switch between either as well as perform 'team-takedowns'
It took me a lot of hours to complete the Story to 100% (that includes all side missions, Riddlers riddles etc) and for the most part the game-play is fantastic. It has a few jump-scares along the way too. It is like I said let down by the repetitive and 1-dimensional vehicle combat but it is the best game to be the Batman - Flying over the City, swooping down into your vehicle, driving about, ejecting back into flight and of course Batmans incredible combat too.
I was disappointed with the 'Statue' that came with it. Its very plasticy although looks more like Resin in the photo's! Certainly not worth the extra!

4.0 out of 5 stars The best epilator ever?, 11 Dec. 2015
This is definitely one of the best Epilators I have used. I can't give it the full 5 stars though as it isn't for everyone and its certainly not a completely 'pain-free' experience (although it does get easier over time. The fact that this can be used in the shower is a real bonus and one of its best features. It really helps reduce the 'pain' factor. I can't say I use all of the various attachments or its 2 different Speed settings though. I tend to use it on its fastest setting and really only do my legs with it - I don't think I could face doing my underarms!
In terms of performance, I rarely see an odd stray hair it missed and the times I do it could be attributed to 'rushing'. The finish is smooth and lasts well too - much longer and smoother than shaving.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stylish, comfortable and certainly better than anything else I have tried., 11 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Perfect! Not only do they look a lot nicer than the traditional NHS crutches, the colour of mine is lovely (although other colours are available), they are more comfortable too because of an ergonomical grip specifically designed for left and right hands. They are also a lot quieter too. Anyone who has used NHS crutches will know that clanking sound every time they hit the ground but these are virtually silent.
If you need or rely on crutches for long term use, these are by far the best I have used.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good and unique shower head..., 18 Nov. 2015
The first thing I noticed about this shower head is its size. Being more square and larger than most round shower heads, its probably twice the surface area. This does provide good coverage in a couple of its 3 modes.
The modes themselves are easily selected via a single push switch. RainAir mixes air into the water to make it feel light and relaxing, Rain is similar to 'normal' showers and Whirl is a jet but rotates - good for massaging aching muscles.
The aesthetics are good and will certainly compliment the majority of bathrooms. It has silicone nozzles which help prevent the build up of limescale and quite easy to clean too.
Overall this is a good shower head with a few unique and easy to select modes. I would certainly recommend it if you have the budget. I think that its down to the individual, whether these modes, the features etc justify the price tag. Granted I doubt you will get the size, these modes or even a push switch to select them on any other shower head - at least not together, but whether that's enough to justify spending more than double the price of similar chrome multi-mode shower head is down to the individual.
Personally I can't fault it and the unique modes are great but I know that I could get an alternative for half the price or less and still get as clean etc. That's the reason I give it 4 stars.
The price here though is competitive for this product and if you are interested in buying, here is a good place.

5.0 out of 5 stars Treyarch are Back (in Black) and give us the best next gen CoD!!, 9 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For me CoD has been a yearly purchase since CoD4. I know that maybe the last 2 haven't been the best but those games were NOT made by Treyarch - this game however was. As someone who has played every CoD since 4 and bought all the DLC too, I now the difference between each developer and its unsurprising that Treyarchs last game - Black Ops 2 - is still being played by hundreds of thousands of people every day 3 years later. Just because I was disappointed by Advanced Warfare, doesn't mean that Black Ops 3 is going to be as bad as its made by a completely different development team. It means I maybe wary of buying CoD in 2yrs time!
With that being said, lets move on to the game. Treyarch have given us the most feature packed CoD ever. Not only that, its also a return to what made CoD great for me.
The campaign is probably the weakest aspect from my point of view in terms of 'story' but what it does offer is up to 4 player co-op. All the missions can be played in any order, each has a list of challenges which help boost your XP, which in turn help you unlock more abilities etc too. The campaign has its own progression system and weapon camo's, player cards etc to unlock. Also once you beat it, you have access to a different version of the campaign too (no spoilers but its worth playing through to unlock this). Unlike previous games, there is more reason to replay the campaign and has the added 'fun' of playing with friends too.
The MP is probably what many will spend the majority of their time playing. A lot has been made about the new movement and the ability to run on walls, swim etc but in essence these factors are not game breaking like Advanced Warfares Exo movement was rather they enhance the experience. The game still flows like a traditional CoD game and the maps are designed in that traditional 3 lane system. The movement allows for quicker navigation whilst still allowing you to use your gun-skill. The emphasis is back to that gun on gun action and the majority of engagements are very much 'boots on the ground' with gun-skill being more important than movement mastery. The movement itself is very intuitive anyway and doesn't give a major advantage to 'scuf' users like AW did. I know those with Scuf or the new Elite controller will have a bit of an advantage in some circumstance but no more so than in the earlier CoD's. The new Specialists add something extra too but again not game breaking. So far the weapons feel 'balanced' although I do think that AR's are likely to be the most used in general. The Scorestreaks overall are good although a few need tweaking to be effective. Class set up uses the familiar Pick 10 system too. Overall I think this MP game has benefited from the MP beta a few months back.
New to CoD is the Gunsmith and Paintjobs. The Gunsmith allows you to make your own weapon variants using the variety of attachments and camos. Paintjobs allow you to create your own 'camo' although these don't cover the whole weapon. You can create up to 64 layers and each weapon has 3 areas to apply these 2 - top, left and right. Each weapon has its own.
Zombies returns too. Its come a long way since its easter egg bonus beginning in World at War and grown into its own separate part. The new Zombies retain the same formula as previous games but with a few added extras. Unlike AW's Zombies, fortunately there is no crossover with the movement mechanics. It too has its own XP progression system with unlockable camos etc that can be used in any of the other parts of this game.
I know its early days for this particular game in the Call of Duty franchise but my initial impression is that its certainly the best Gen 8 version CoD game by a long way. The 3 year development time (an extra year for Treyarch) has been put to good use to add new features, polish the experience and retains the things that made CoD the franchise it is. Every part has replayability and opportunity to play with friends, CoD games may not be the most visually stunning games but they are certainly not the worst and one of the better games to run at 60fps and this is no exception. Sound design is also great throughout - not just the score but the weapons and effects too.
For its price, you would be hard pressed to find a game that delivers as much great content as this has and for any FPS and CoD fan, this is an essential purchase. From my point of view, this is a truly the best next gen CoD by a big margin!

5.0 out of 5 stars Elite by name, quality in build, versatile in operation, better than anything else available but is it worth the cost??, 9 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
From the moment you open the box and see the case inside, you know this is a 'premium' product. When you actually hold the controller itself, you actually feel like you are holding an 'Elite' controller. The brushed steel looks and feels great, the satin finish of the plastic casing and rubberised grips do too. The whole controller weighs more than the standard but also feels better constructed and more solid. Not only does it look classy, it also feels quality in your hands.
As I mentioned it comes in a zip-up protective case. The case is not that 'solid' but does offer quite a bit of protection. Unless you put quite a bit of weight on top of it, it is certainly adequate to the task. Inside the case, you have a place to keep all the accessories that come with it. These include the four brushed metal paddles, 3 pairs of differing length metal shafted thumb sticks, 2 different brushed metal D-pad covers and a thick fabric covered (instead of the usual plastic) charging/connecting USB cable. Each of these attachments are easy to put on and remove from the controller itself. It also comes with 2 AA batteries although not a rechargeable one.
The thumbsticks come in 3 heights - standard convex (the same length and style as the standard controller), medium domed (a bit longer but with a domed top) and tall convex (like the standard but around twice as long) with each having a metal shaft too. My current standard controller has a big groove worn into its plastic shaft which obviously has created plastic dust too - something this controller won't do. The D-pad covers are the flat disc type and more traditional cross. All of these 'snap' into place and held there by magnets. After many hours of gaming, not one has moved or dropped off and feel like they are 'factory fitted'.
The paddles are interchangeable - each can fit into any of the slots although if using all 4, you cannot put some combinations together because of their shape. I have had a few occasions when I have 'lost' a paddle and had to put it back in but I think that's more down to getting used to them. They do take a bit of getting used to in gaming too - its not like they will immediately transform your gaming ability. I recommend configuring them yourself as that helps to remember what each paddle is assigned to. They fit naturally under a finger but that can also be a downside if you are not used to them - pressing them accidentally when gripping the controller during high tension and/or heat of the battle moments. Its also easy to press them if you hold the controller too low as they can hit your legs when seated (as no doubt most gamers are). As you get used to them though, these things stop happening. You can easily turn the paddles on and off or remove them anyway.
The brushed metal Triggers have 2 main positions, full or limited. By this it means that in the 'full' position, the triggers have the full range of movement - perfect for racing games which have the throttle control on these and 'limited' which reduces the amount of trigger pull down - perfect for FPS games where a lot of the movement does nothing and enables you to fire quicker with semi-auto's or burst fire weapons. Each trigger can be switched between Full or Limited independently.
The controller has the ability to switch to between 2 different layouts during a game and configuring these is done through the free 'Xbox Accessories' App which needs to be downloaded. However you can create or use many more that can be stored on your Xbox one. Each is easily transferred via the USB cable (supplied) All of the 'buttons' can be remapped to a layout of your choosing. Always wanted a layout where A and B are switched (for example) but never given an in-game layout to do this, well now you can! Not only that all four of the rumbles can be adjusted with around 10 different intensities. The sensitivities of each trigger and thumbstick can also be adjusted.
It has both the 'Headphone Adapter' (not supplied) and a 3.5mm headphone socket for connecting your headset to. My headset doesn't have any means to adjust volume, mute etc inline which I always used the headset adapter for. It does however have a 3.5mm jack. I could of course use my headset adapter but I use the jack instead. Adjusting the volume and mix between game and party, muting etc is now done from the console itself (its one of the options in the sidebar of the new Dash).
I know the cost is expensive at nearly half the price of the console itself but as someone who games a lot and has already worn out 3-4 'standard' controllers, this feels a lot more substantial and durable too. If it lasts as long as those 3-4 controllers, financially its already better value. I know its going to get compared to 'Scuf' but they use a 'standard' controller and therefore have the same durability. They also cost more for a similar spec version. I don't know that you can get the same level of customisation either - I doubt they can switch between 2 different layouts instantly, adjust the intensity of the rumbles, the sensitivity of thumbsticks and triggers, even switch the trigger between Full or Limited as quickly either - I know you have more control over the trigger stops but require a key to adjust rather than flicking a switch.
Even if you have no interest in the paddles and what they can bring to your gaming, I would still highly recommend this product. Unless you play very infrequently, in which case the cost is probably unjustifiable for you, this is by far the best controller available. Its metal parts, both external and internal should add more durability, the grips and satin plastic finish help with longer gaming sessions as well as look very classy and the amount of customisation mean that it can be set up to suit everyone and every game too. Definitely worth the cost and 5 stars for me!
