3.0 out of 5 stars Well made, but underlying idea is flawed., 12 Feb. 2013

I bought these because i spend a lot of time travelling and was intrigued by the different approach to the ear bud that they have.

The headphones are well constructed. The metal plug for the jack should stop the old issue of the bending of the cord to the point that one ear stops working. The Microphone is good. The non tangle lead is good, but it is prone to being a little coiled when going through everyday twisting.

So far so good. Really though you buy headphones for the sound quality and at that price , you do expect a level of quality. I have a Sony Z1070 especially for the quality of sound it produces. Because these different style buds do not block all of the back ground noise, that quality appears to be a little lost. Noise cancelling doesn't work and as such i am disappointed. the descripton also said they were the most comfortable to wear. Not so sure about this as the silicon earpiece uses pressure on the lope to stay in place. A good idea, but as comfortable as buds? not really. That said, they do not fall out. Which is good.

So, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the headphones. They work exactly as described. They are well made, and they are a different way of approaching the issue of comfort and quality. It is just a flawed concept.
