4.0 out of 5 stars Bridget Jones meets Bollywood, 25 July 2003
A great read, I love the idea of a Bridget Jones outlook on life from an Indian perspective. It's everything an Indian Bridget Jones stylee book should be. Leaves you with a positive perspective and will give you a giggle.

4.0 out of 5 stars The independent woman strikes out on her own., 25 July 2003
This review is from: Dangerously in Love (Audio CD)
Beyonce has a beautiful voice and is well bootylicious in general but i was slightly let down by her album. There aren't a lot of destiny's child style songs so i didn't feel empowered after listening to it.
But having said that Beyonce is out to shed the butter wouldn't melt image and let the world know that at 21 she is now an independent woman in the truest sense of the word.
There are certain songs that had me cringing as Beyonce whines "Undress me!" and a lot of the people she has duetted with well the coupling suprised me. It seems with this album Beyonce is out to prove something and i'm not sure if it's to the world or to her parents.hmm. Worth a listen if your a fan though.

5.0 out of 5 stars A triumph for singletons everywhere!, 25 July 2003
Bridget Jones is back with one heck of a bang.
I thought my insides would explode when I read Helen Fieldings first installment of Bridget, it was soo funny and the likeness of the situations which Bridget gets her self into to my life (the similarities can be quite scary) well I was hooked and I can say with confidence you will be too! It's incredibly funny and Bridget tell's it like it is for all singletons across the globe. Or not. Well in London anyway! Hurrah!

3.0 out of 5 stars Stephen King...seriously creepy man, 6 May 2003
At first this film scared the bejesus out of me then i saw that the mother of all aliens was lime green in colour i suddenly was'nt so frightened any more!
I am now reading the book and find King's writing way more terrifying when you read it as it was originally intended. Having said that this film is probably not for die hard King fans.
A film for when you just want to be scared up until the lime green alien part, well maybe you'll still be scared but that did it for me!

3.0 out of 5 stars One for mums of the seventies!, 6 May 2003
This review is from: Super 70's (Audio CD)
I bought this Cd for my mum for mothers day.
She has not stopped playing it since reminscing about her love for Donny Osmond and laughing at "I've got a Brand New Combine Harvester". Which i will admit to joining in with the giggling!
If you want to remember the "Good old days" then buy this cd!

5.0 out of 5 stars x-men - x2 bloomin brilliant!, 6 May 2003
As a child I was more of a fan of the tv adaption of the comic over the comics themselves.
This was one extremely well cast film with perhaps the exception of Halle Berry (who is extremely wooden and she plays my favourite character Storm) and has enough special effects to keep anyone interested.
Was'nt completely true to the comic but otherwise brilliant with some great funny bits too. If thats not enough to make you go and see it Hugh Jackman was enough of a reason for me!
Definately worth a night out!

3.0 out of 5 stars The history behind Tolkein and Lord of The Rings, 23 Jan. 2003
This DVD is not for fans of the film. It explores Tolkein's history and what inspired him to write Lord Of The Rings. If you want to know how Tolkein developed the Elvish language and some of the historic figures which inspired some of the more memorable characters of the books then it's worth a look.
