Three Men on the Edge (Paperback)

Customer rating 5.0/5.0
22 Dec. 2018 By Jennie Farley

There is heartache and humour in this tale of three men on the edge of lonely despair. Each tells his own story about coping with anger, self-doubt, depression in precise and beautifully crafted segments where the author is not afraid of introducing the heightened surrealism of troubled thoughts and dreams. It is also a celebration of the forgotten places around London's perimeter (Loveday lived for many years in Rickmansworth) where even a plastic bag from Iceland is part of the landscape of this strange, haunted in-between world. Readers will find more to enjoy in this book of less than 100 pages of poetic prose than many an epic novel.
