Cubot Power - The best Smartphone I've ever had
Before I bought the Cubot Power 5.99-inch FHD I had a Samsung Galaxy J3. Unfortunately, with just 5GB internal storage this Samsung limits the number of apps you can download from the Google app store. I had naively thought that this problem could be solved by transferring apps to the external storage. Unfortunately, Samsung doesn't let you do that. There are apparently ways around it, but they are not that simple, and in my case wasn't really an option. I decided I would have to upgrade, but when I looked at the prices of Samsung's higher range smartphones they were beyond what I was willing to pay. So I started looking at less well-known makes, and I came across the CUBOT Power. The spec looked very good. I read a good number of reviews and they were nearly all positive. The one criticism was that the sound quality isn't particularly good. This didn't put me off as I don't do a lot of listening and watching video clips or movies on my mobile phone. The most appealing thing to me was the power of the phone and the price. Also with 128 GB internal storage I realised that that should definitely be enough. Probably 64 GB would have sufficed, but with 128 GB I thought I would definitely be safe. I got the CUBOT Power for £153.99, a reduced price at the time. I was a bit wary as to whether or not it would live up to my expectations being much cheaper than rough equivalents in Samsung or iPhone. I have to say, it has exceeded my expectations. Now, I don't use the phone for gaming, but I have read reviews of those who do, and most of them say it is very good. It is a powerful phone. With its incorporated 4G technology surfing on the web is smooth and fast. I use Google Chrome for surfing. Letters are sharp. Internet pictures and photos are crystal clear. The contacts address book is very attractively designed. The email client is lovely to use and there is no waiting time when jumping from one message to another. Texting is also a well-designed feature. There is a spelling prompt which corrects wrongly spelt words at a tap. It has really speeded up my texting. And the sound? I don't know what all the fuss was about. The sound is fine. I don't expect the sound from a mobile phone to have the same quality as sitting in front of an Apple Mac. A phone is a much smaller device, but I have to say that in spite of the size difference from a laptop, the sound quality on this phone is fine as far as I am concerned. Battery life is also very good., especially if you use the battery saving/economy feature. With the phone switched on all day the battery needs charged just once per day. If you have your phone on sleep, it will last more than a day. I thoroughly recommend the CUBOT Power smartphone for anyone wanting to upgrade to a more powerful phone. You will easily pay more than £100 more for an equivalent in a Samsung or iPhone, and so far for me this phone is every bit as good as the big names in smartphones.

After owning a Zenfone Max for a few years, the relatively small RAM of 2GB began to frustrate me and I started to look for a replacement, I set my aim at a moderately priced phone with 8GB of RAM. The options I found ranged between £350 pounds to north of £800 for the good brands. As I was browsing, I came across the "Cubot Power", a brand of which I knew nothing at the baffling price of £127 with great specs, including 6GB of RAM.
Long story short, the saying that "if it's too good to be true, it probably is a scam" turned out to be wrong in this case.
I have the Cubot Power for a few weeks now and so far, I'm delighted with it.
I'm a heavy user of video streaming and arcade games playing, an avid reader on kindle and a 'Googler@ of a thousand things a day as well as a moderate user of social medias. This phone handles all those tasks brilliantly and I cannot recommend it warmly enough.
Great specs, good quality (excellent sound, image and battery life) at rock bottom price, I feel I've made a great deal.
    Two thumbs up.

Cons: Speakers are awful, Screen protector is a nice bonus but you will be replacing it after a week, Fingerprint reader is hit or miss, The power button is too sensitive (I have found I keep accidentally turning the phone off when in my pocket due to the phones size. (My current workaround is to place the phone upside down in my pocket)

It is a shame I brought this for my father in law as when testing it worked it seems like a really good phone and have really enjoyed using it. Battery life has been okay, memory pretty good, camera is nothing to wright home about but still takes okay photos. Have not set up finger print reader so do not know how good this is.

If you're looking for a solid workhorse of a phone, with a battery that barely needs charged, this is fine, but don't expect anything from the camera. Horrible blurry images, and zero customer service to help resolve the issue would make me advise for you to avoid this phone.
