The Velcro strips are very close to the baby's skin, and I worry they irritate him.
The disposable inserts are compostable if the nappy is only wet, but my baby doesn't do very many of those as a newborn, so they are mostly going in the bin, and they don't really take up less room then a regular disposable nappy, so I don't see the benefit of using the disposable insert, as it doesn't really impact on my landfill contribution and I also have to wash the outers anyway.
They might be better in the bigger size for an older baby and using cloth inserts instead, but I feel I have spent a fortune on these when I could have spent the same or less on disposable and I don't think I am going to be able to use all the inserts before he grows out of the nappy.
Finally, I had to get a replacement as the poppers weren't sewn on properly for one nappy, although Amazon were very good about replacing them.
Gnappies are just great. They fit perfectly, They look very cute- for boys and girls. The material is soft and 6 are enough as they last very long. You just have to change the pouch every know and then- at least when the big "business" stays in the pouch.

The cloth loses its colour after a few washes. The product is far too expensive for such poor quality. The cheaper cloth diapers I bought were far better.Published 3 months ago by Maltamum
