Why can't Subscribe & Save items be delivered to a Collect+ store?

I've just had to cancel my subscriptions because the neighbours are being funny about our stuff being delivered to their house. I think it's the giant 15kg bags of dog food that are annoying them, so not entirely unreasonable of them I suppose.

Delivering to work is not an option and although I try to ensure somebody is always home, it's unreasonable to expect people to wait in during a 12 hour delivery window.

Is there a good reason why we are being denied Collect+ for deliveries? The perfect, convenient solution is right there at Amazon's disposable but they are refusing to let us use it.

I had similar issues with Cat Food. I was incorrectly told to hand enter the Collect+ store as a new address during checkout and it would all work seemlessly. Sadly this proved not to be the case. I suspect it is the large size of the item(s) that causes the issue. The Collect+ locations are often small convenience stores with limited space for storing large items for a number of days. For example I could only collect at weekends so potentially they'd have to store my goods for five days if delivered to them on a Monday. Not that Amazon will confirm this. I eventually just got told Collect+ wan't available on certain items.

I got told the same on a small item, so it isn't just big items that are subject to this. No idea why though. Collect+ is a waste of time if it can't be guaranteed on every item
