Yesterday received latest 'Classic Rock' magazine where one gig review caught my attention - Michael Monroe
(Hanoi Rocks) frontman with bunch of great musicians, amongst them Ginger(guitar sure). They already released album Another Night In The Sun which i haven't heard yet, but i would like to talk more about man i think very little presented on these fora - Ginger. I find him a great rocker having compositional skills, a talent to write both rocky-edgy and lightweight catchy-melodic stuff(more as solo projects).
My favourite 'The Wilhearts' album is Fishing for More Luckies,
And VALOR DEL CORAZON as his best solo album IMO.
Anything to add?

Hey, nice one PS; reckon we're singing from the same hymn sheet on this one!
Agree re Fishing For Luckies; their best album for sure. Only albums I don't have is Endless Nameless and TWSB but ALL the rest of their stuff I think's great. Thing is with The Wildhearts, there's really catchy tunes on every album, that I have to play 2 or 3 times each time the album goes on. Even the covers album's good!
Not many bands do better b sides either.
Never really took much notice of Gingers solo stuff so can't comment there.

Lack of posts just goes to show how criminally underappreciated The Wildhearts are around here!
I realise most regulars on these threads're folk or/and prog lovers but surely there's a few straight forward rockers around?

No! Just checked, read your review too: looks(sounds) like sonic hardcore...

+1 for Uppers and Downers by The Yo-Yo's. If Carlsberg did Wildhearts spin-offs this would probably the best Wildhearts spin-off in the World.

Never heard of Yo Yo's 'till now, but fer a penny + p&p, worth a looksee.

On the subject of associated acts, Honeycrack (one of CJ's early ventures) did a damn fine album once upon a time. The singles ' Sitting At Home ' and ' Go Away ' were always good sing-alongs when one was drunk or/and high!

Ah, the spin-offs! Whatever Ginger and Co. do always seems to have a touch of gold to it.

Big fan of Super$hit 666 and Clam Abuse. Never got 'round to Honeycrack for some reason.

It seems Sera, that in the case of Super5hit 666, the price of purchase is (well, almost) included in the band name! Pretty pricey, that one.
