In the circumstances getting back on to them seems a tad insensitive.

Susan was already booked in for hair appointment on the day so we will probably be rushing in at last min or maybe even a we bit- but not too long - late

Not long now! There has been a suggestion that we meet at 1pm instead of 12.30. If that's a problem for anyone, please let me know. I'll be contacting the restaurant on Thursday with final numbers (fingers crossed for Craig), so I can change the time then as well.

sorry, nc and all, but it's a tractor ride too far for me for saturday - been suffering painful spasms, etc etc - i was so looking forward to meeting y'all, and no doubt will at some future event, but this one seems to have come too soon. enjoy the day (and the eats, nice menu)

Aw, that's a shame, Craig. Back pain is a bugger, innit? And yours sounds particularly 'orrible. Rest assured we'll raise a glass to absent friends - and of course if by any chance you feel better by Saturday just come along anyway, we'll squeeze you in somehow (cue Peter making smart remark of how unkind that would be to your poor back).

We can always organise another get together just as soon as you're better.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Jul 2013, 08:41:55 BST
thankyou - next one'll be a go-er for me:)

Lez Lee says:
That's a shame, Craig. I get back pain myself and you have my sympathy. We'll definitely have a Glasgow meet some time which would be nearer for you.

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Jul 2013, 10:54:20 BST
cheers, lez, thanks - it's a damnt nuisance.

Posted on 4 Jul 2013, 11:07:07 BST
Hard lines there Craig. I know from personal experience how debilitating back pain can be and mine is as nothing compared to missus who had to have surgery just to return to previous far worse than mine state. Yours sound particularly bad too

In reply to an earlier post on 4 Jul 2013, 11:21:23 BST
as i often say, peter - it is truly better than enjoying yourself - hoping surgery wont be reqd - both of you enjoy sat..:)

china cat says:
Another time Craig. Hope the spasms ease up soon. Is this a long term problemo or just a visitor passing through?

Posted on 4 Jul 2013, 11:47:27 BST
cheers, china - flares up every couple of years - until recently, had been misdiagnosed - physio helps - have a nice time

Been a huge fan of sci-fi all my life but was not too enamoured when life then gifted me sci-atica.

Sorry to learn that you won't be joining us on this occasion Craig - I was hoping to pick your brains on roots reggae and dub (not sure there are any other enthusiasts on the team). Another time, mate.
